If someone tells you that something is 60% likely to happen, what does that mean? Is he saying that it will definitely happen? No, of course not. And if it turns out it doesn’t happen does that make his prediction ‘wrong’? Again, it is pretty clear the answer is ‘no’. But that is not the sort of logical thinking which pertains in the real world.
