On my Linkedin profile, I only have connections to people I've worked with IRL, and I haven't added Twitter or Friendfeed to my list of websites, but L/I has stated suggesting contacts from both of those services; people like Kol, Louis G, AJ Batac, to name a few...
Not that I have any objection to adding you, but *how* is Linkedin doing this without me giving any info about those services? Is it doing some cool matching based on my location (which I've specified on both Twitter and Linkedin) and/or conversation threads?

Those get a bit creepy... soon you'll find new relatives that way. "By the way, you have a brother you have never met. Connect with him now."

facebook does the same thing. they seem to suggest people who I have removed from my address book, but the suggested person has me in their address book.

Jemm - one of the suggestions was my (actual) brother!! We haven't spoken for a while, but it's creeping me out that I've now got my Mum *and* Linkedin telling me I should connect with my brother!!

Heh. And Facebooks suggests giving gifts on birthdays etc. Maybe everything should be just automated, so that time could be spared for other tasks than paying attention people ;)

Interesting, I saw you were suggested and just requested to add you, Andrew. :-)

Kol - just saw the notification. Added you back!
