More blindingly obvious things that I can't believe that hasn't been fixed yet. 1.) The Groups you can display your Contacts by have absolutely nothing in common with the actual group names I used to group my contacts in google. e.g.- Where the hell is the "coworkers" group? Why can't I just select the groups I want to display? I imported all....
....my work contacts, and now I can't call the people I actually want to call because the small number of them is hidden within the 300 coworkers, and I can't display my contacts without my coworkers.

2.) Why can't you hang up the phone using the red button, without locking the damn phone?

Has anyone else found a contact list app that will work using the actual group names stored in your gmail contact list?
- Matthew DeVries
Matthew, the group names ARE supported. On your phone go to contacts, press Menu, and choose 'display group'. You can choose all, just peeps with phone#s, 'my contacts', or a specific group. Right now I've got just my derby teammates showing on my phone (and that's a group I setup in Gmail).

Ok, sorted the problem. Android will NOT bring in the native and undeletable gmail contacts groups Friends, Family, and Coworkers. Thus all these people need to be put into new created paralell Groups, which after a phone sync can be seen by android. This seems broken to me.

About as broken as the fact that Tasks don't show up on my G1 calendar. Or the fact that I can't delete a single text message from someone, only the entire lot of them. =/

You can in cupcake. Long press on a message, a whole list of options appear.
