Sherpa debuts early on the Android Market | Android Atlas - CNET Blogs
Any early impressions of Sherpa? Personally, I haven't been too overwhelmed. - Mike Cassidy from Bookmarklet
I haven't tried Sherpa, but the UI screenshots make my eyes bleed. That is one ugly app. - Niklas Morberg
Tried Sherpa out last night. Hard to look at, UI not intuitive and did not run well on G1. (That last may be due to limitations of the G1.) I'll stick with Google's Places Directory (http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009...). Aloqa is also a better choice but I like Places Directory best in this category. - Chuck Falzone
doesn't look like Sherpa has any data for places outside the US...at least not working in Canada - Trent Olson
I've used it very briefly, and I've seen quirky results pop up in categories- e.g. a local minister in the dining section. I couldn't find my favorite Japanese restaurant while searching at home, but while down the road a short distance it popped right up in the carousel. I don't use this kind of app often, but I prefer Google Places as well. - Mike Cassidy
