Thanks everybody :-) I love the technique and idea, so thanks again to Simon for bringing it to my attention! Going to see if I can automate the slicing and dicing, and then maybe go to town with this :-)

I'm sure there is a way to set up auto slicing, but i just divided up with borders and cropped each one :)

I'm using PS Elements, so the options are a little limited. I'm thinking that I need apply some ImageMagick & shell script love to the problem :)
