uggh....moving in the wrong direction - Adam Kazwell
I love Reader and my feeds, but the truth is that a lot of people have no clue what an RSS feed is or what the value is in aggregating them via these tools. If they have limited engineering resources, I'd rather have them focus on making the app faster/more reliable or explore solutions to problems that affect a larger user base. That said, no one likes to lose a feature. - Andrew Bonventre
Wow that's disappointing. Still, integrating feed-reading and email is going to be really tough. It'll be extremely rewarding, but I don' think anyone's come close to getting it right yet. - Kevin Fox
Agre with Kevin, it would be great to integrate email and RSS feeds. - Bindu Reddy
RSS Feeds: Because you don't already get enough email. - Jonathan Terleski
Or because you get too much. Last week I made a filter to forward one of my mailing lists into a private room in FriendFeed because I'd rather read it as a feed and I couldn't be happier. - Kevin Fox

Well, I'm sure you've heard of Nike. W+K did for modern advertising what Google did for most modern web technologies. While I don't think that the culture will make a dramatic move away from being engineering-driven, I'm sure there is value in what he believes to be a good direction to go in. It would be extremely arrogant and misguided to assume that, as a company, Google itself is doing everything right when it comes to the marketing of their products. - Andrew Bonventre

Anyone else think that the whole "we're legitimate solely because we worked at Google" thing is kind of annoying? I guess it get's you PR (Cuil) and possibly funding, but in the end, the product is really what makes (FF) or breaks (Cuil) it. - Andrew Bonventre

When you’re a competitive runner in training you are constantly in a process of ascending. That’s it. It’s a simple idea, but the more I thought about it, the more profound it became to me. It’s not something that most human beings would give a moment of consideration to, that it is actually possible to be living for years in a state of constant betterment. To consider that you are better today than you were yesterday or a year ago, and that you will be better still tomorrow or next week or at tournament time your senior year. That if you’re doing it right you are an organism constantly evolving toward some agreed-upon approximation of excellence. Wouldn’t that at least be one definition of a spiritual state? - Andrew Bonventre

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with this one. iTunes is a good example of a service that makes plenty of money selling goods that can (generally) be attained for free through bittorrent, limewire or whatever. How did they do it? They have great interaction designers that make the process dead fucking simple backed by an mp3 player that "has no features". - Andrew Bonventre
