The part of the rumor that I don't get is that this is supposed to be a device for Verizon. But it has no cell capability and will do calls via VoIP. That makes no sense from Verizon's standpoint. - Kevin Pedraja

I would love something like a larger format Touch. About 2X size in each dimension (thus 4x screen area). Better browsing and a worthy media tablet. I'd be happy with an on-screen keyboard, but others would want an external Bluetooth one. - JR Holmes

Agreed, Tech Introvert. I don't believe any rumored Apple products until Steve Jobs announces them. I just posted this because (1) The rumors do have a bit more specificity than most and (2) The mockups look cool, although still not like something Apple would actually produce. - Mitch Wagner

I recall the rumors of a tablet before the Touch launch. Turned out a lot of the tidbits were right but the big picture was wrong. Maybe this is another about-face (where Apple derides a market until they decide to get into it) and this is their Kindle Killer. - Kevin Pedraja
