WorldCat Rights and Responsibilities for the OCLC Cooperative—DRAFT -
"The OCLC Record Use Policy Council members have been working for the past few months to develop the next generation of a WorldCat use policy. This draft document is open for community review. This draft document is not final. Between now and the end of May, we very much want your feedback. We hope you will take the time to review the draft carefully and let us know your thoughts. You can post comments to the community forum, send an e-mail to, or register to attend a webinar where you can ask questions and submit feedback to members of the Record Use Policy Council. We will continue to add content to the accompanying FAQ as we get more questions from the community review process. We will also translate the draft into Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch and French. These translations will be posted as soon as they are completed." - Peter Murray from Bookmarklet
Minor comment... the glossary defines 'public good' but that is not a term used in the text. Odd. I presume that the intention was to explicitly state that WorldCat is NOT a public good? - Andy Powell
Yeah -- I wonder the same thing. Especially since the definition goes on to define "club good" which I have to sort of suspect is what the policy was heading towards. - Peter Murray
