“Hi all, I am new to Thirty Day Challenge and feel swamped at the moment with all the information . Anybody got any advice on way to proceed easily alixander”
Maxine - start with pre-season and just work through the daily training bit by bit. If some of the concepts don't make sense then re-watch the training. The forums can be a bit daunting but most questions you might have will have been asked before, so do a search to find what you need. Also, you may want to join a team to you can support each other and help each other with the tougher stuff. Good luck! - Lisa
you can always ask questions here as well :-) Be warned some of the videos need to be watched more than once! - Linda
You don't need to understand the process or read all the information in order to get started. Taking the plunge and implementing small actions regularly is the best way to way to learn more about it all, I think. Conversations help too :-) - Andy Roberts
To be honest, you don't have to go at it full pelt like we all did, so maybe you have an advantage. otoh you might find that you need to go at the same speed as we did to keep up the momentum. The first 4 days are fraught, it gets a lot easier after that. - Frann Leach
“Question about MS results. One keyword I examined 8 of the top ten sites listed were articles on EzineArticles.com. Obviously, many back links to Domain and authority site. Is this normal to have so many top sites as articles ? Does this make it easier or harder to get a high Google rank ?”
If the articles you mentioned aren't on their own domain, then I think it should be easy. - John W. Serra
8 out of 10 where articles? I would jump on that word/phrase.... - CeoSeo
I would say, you should stay away - if the top 10 is already dominated by web 2.0 properties you'll have trouble competing. Because you're using the same techniques as these guys who got into the top 10 - many of them are probably 30DCers! I would not go after that phrase. - Elisa Gopin
It's either a war between the top two sites, or a dud phrase. Checkout the keywords that the ezarticles link to, because that's probably where the traffic really is. - Andy Roberts
A lot of people who used the free hosting at WPD seemed to have recurring problems with it so paying for a domain name and hostgator could well save you from hours of wasted effort and frustration. - Andy Roberts
I used 1 of my WPD blogs with the free WPD hosting for theme and plugins testing. But the main one has a domain is hosted somewhere else. - Rita
“Al asked about further possible London meetups so that we can keep in touch. I think that's a great idea - any of us could organise that through this room whenever we want”
Many of the small teams will be diminished by now so organising wider meetups for UK 30Dcers is a great idea for the coming months. Some of us who made it to Piccadilly today will be keen to try and pursue this, even if its only a dozen or so that can make any one specific day. I suggest October, maybe the first Sunday. - Andy Roberts
Sunday 5th October good for me Andy - have pencilled it into my diary already. And it was great meeting you and all the other guys and gals. - Marysia Kurowski
Are there any tracking and stats scripts that work from the posterous profile yet? - Andy Roberts
This would be the icing on the jellyfish - Andy Roberts
no, not yet, and I'm guessing it's pretty far down their priority list if you look at how they're positioning the service. basically "hey you non tech sophisticate... you can share your content with the world just by sending an emai (which you already know how to do)l." - Jon Price
Well the next stage after a non tech sophisticate has managed to publish something is to want to have a look and see if anybody is reading it. - Andy Roberts
We were told this is not necessary, and could even cause problems with some of the social bookmarking sites. Ratings, Stumble thumbs up and diggs are always welcome though, if the content is worth it. - Andy Roberts
"When to Upgrade Eurostar Deals to Leisure Class
http://www.eurostardealsblog.c... — On a prestigious international rail service like Eurostar you might assume that Leisure Select (First Class) Eurostar deals would be very expensive but in fact there are occasions when the cost conscious traveller might do well to consider going for the upgrade." digg - Andy Roberts via Bookmarklet

Hope so Lisa. Down near Chichester, but hoping to get up to P'dilly. Noticed Phil Mason thread mentioned Starbucks as poss meet but haven't seen anything confirmed. Hope to meet you all if I make it! - nudgeme
At the moment we're looking at Starbucks Picadilly but keep an eye on Ed's Twitters and the blog for details. - Lisa
The Apple Store, Regent street is very near as well. - Andy Roberts
Phill Mason has my number in case of problems (he is guitar shopping with Ed before the meet-up) so if anyone wants to let me have their mobile numbers I can pass on any messages on Sunday. I will be leaving at 8am tomorrow morning and I can't access the internet so no Twitter updates :( Let me know your numbers by email lisa@audiblemarketing.com - Lisa
Ed has Tweeted that we will be meeting tomorrow (Sunday 31st) at Cafe Nero - across the road from the Ritz - just up from Green Park Tube Station. I'm assuming still around 3-4pm. - Lisa
Unfortunately I can't make it :-( are there plans for any more London meet ups?Would be great to stay in touch with fellow 30dcer's - Albert
Great idea, Al - I've posted a separate message about it above, as a new topic - Marysia Kurowski

I think Y!Links are to the entire domain whereas Y!Page links are just to that page. - Andy Roberts
good question 22hicks, also can someone please confirm that these are just links on yahoo, ie pages that are listed on yahoo, or are the across the internet like the ms software is showing? - Wayne Brewin
Andy is right: it's links to entire domain vs. links to just the page. - thefluffanutta
"Nearly 30 pedigree Shropshire Down sheep left the Webbs' farm at the end of last month.
They are now busy keeping the orchards tidy at a farm owned by Herve Duclos, a cider and calvados producer based near Rouen, Normandy.
The sheep will be used to control weeds and herbage between Mr Duclos's apple trees. Unlike other breeds of sheep, Shropshires will not damage fruit trees by stripping bark." - Andy Roberts via Bookmarklet
some ukcider members think their sheep would soon teach them how to do it! - Linda
"Eurostar Deals for Paris Theatre Breaks
I've just had a crazy idea which I'm dying to tell you about. It involves taking a theatre break not in London, where I've enjoyed so many great trips this past year and no doubt again soon, but going all the way to PARIS FRANCE just to see a play in French! How about that?
I reckon if I plan it far enough in advance I'll be able to get one of those three month ahead eurostar deals and then stay in a cheap hotel somewhere fun like down on the left bank." - Andy Roberts via Bookmarklet
Is it just me or did the Weebly sites this year completely fail to get indexed? - Andy Roberts
mine didn't get indexed either. If you look at site:weebly.com in google there's an awful lot of spam there now. Not good. - Linda
mine got indexed and also ranked a lot better than my blog at the minute. so far it has sent 34 visitors to my blog so it appears to be going ok. Will check the stats again later and update you if any major differences. - Wayne Brewin
Not indexed yet but may appear on next days list. Will check again later - Ali
Thanks for the info Wayne, perhaps the googlebot visited all mine on a bad day. They should bounce in eventually then. - Andy Roberts
We put our Weebly page up on the day of the lesson and it only got indexed in the last 24 hours. Yesterday I was thinking of pulling the content and putting it elsewhere, good thing I waited a little longer. - Derek Pollard
