Maxine - start with pre-season and just work through the daily training bit by bit. If some of the concepts don't make sense then re-watch the training. The forums can be a bit daunting but most questions you might have will have been asked before, so do a search to find what you need. Also, you may want to join a team to you can support each other and help each other with the tougher stuff. Good luck! - Lisa

You don't need to understand the process or read all the information in order to get started. Taking the plunge and implementing small actions regularly is the best way to way to learn more about it all, I think. Conversations help too :-) - Andy Roberts

To be honest, you don't have to go at it full pelt like we all did, so maybe you have an advantage. otoh you might find that you need to go at the same speed as we did to keep up the momentum. The first 4 days are fraught, it gets a lot easier after that. - Frann Leach

I would say, you should stay away - if the top 10 is already dominated by web 2.0 properties you'll have trouble competing. Because you're using the same techniques as these guys who got into the top 10 - many of them are probably 30DCers! I would not go after that phrase. - Elisa Gopin

It's either a war between the top two sites, or a dud phrase. Checkout the keywords that the ezarticles link to, because that's probably where the traffic really is. - Andy Roberts

A lot of people who used the free hosting at WPD seemed to have recurring problems with it so paying for a domain name and hostgator could well save you from hours of wasted effort and frustration. - Andy Roberts

I used 1 of my WPD blogs with the free WPD hosting for theme and plugins testing. But the main one has a domain is hosted somewhere else. - Rita

Many of the small teams will be diminished by now so organising wider meetups for UK 30Dcers is a great idea for the coming months. Some of us who made it to Piccadilly today will be keen to try and pursue this, even if its only a dozen or so that can make any one specific day. I suggest October, maybe the first Sunday. - Andy Roberts

no, not yet, and I'm guessing it's pretty far down their priority list if you look at how they're positioning the service. basically "hey you non tech sophisticate... you can share your content with the world just by sending an emai (which you already know how to do)l." - Jon Price

I think Y!Links are to the entire domain whereas Y!Page links are just to that page. - Andy Roberts

Is it just me or did the Weebly sites this year completely fail to get indexed? - Andy Roberts

mine didn't get indexed either. If you look at site:weebly.com in google there's an awful lot of spam there now. Not good. - Linda

mine got indexed and also ranked a lot better than my blog at the minute. so far it has sent 34 visitors to my blog so it appears to be going ok. Will check the stats again later and update you if any major differences. - Wayne Brewin

We put our Weebly page up on the day of the lesson and it only got indexed in the last 24 hours. Yesterday I was thinking of pulling the content and putting it elsewhere, good thing I waited a little longer. - Derek Pollard
