I think it's probably pretty true. It's amazing the connections you discover. Not that many of them (any?) are that useful, really, but realizing you're no more than 6 handshakes away from every other person on the planet can be a useful perspective. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Well, I now "know" (i.e. am subscribed) to Andy because he bookmarkletted the same news item as I did ten minutes before me, and I "met" him through my subscription to Robert Scoble. Two degrees?
