"Yep, it's all about time, also slow down how you pick your rats up. Try completely supporting their hind legs in one hand and wrapping the other hand round their middles. That always works for the new kittens we get till they're used to you. Every now and again, even with all 8 out and playing a sudden movement makes them scarper! Over time ours have learned a call. A high pitched inward kissing noise I make which I associated with feeding time. Now whenever I make the noise they all come running :)"

"I am with you on this one when I pluck up the courage. It's just I am a soft shite when it comes to my rats. I hate trimming nails too but sometimes. It just needs to be done."

"When they work out it's got medicine on it, they find a way of rejecting your chosen method of administering the medication. On of our pack 'Tidus' needs a lot or should I say, a long course of Baytril quite a lot of the time. These are some of the methods we've found to work:- Blend a tiny bit of butter and some sugar on a tea spoon (you don't need much) and then mix in the medicine. This one works really well I've never seen a rat refuse such delicious. In fairness we only use this when he's off his food and needs a bit of fat on him. Apple sauce. The stuff you get from Colemans for having on pork Jam - works a treat Baby food Soaking it into treats like his biscuits - works with bread etc"

AngelOYS on Lesson learned: Never leave ANYTHING next to, or on, a rat cage. They WILL find a way to pull it inside and chew the s**t out of it. - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"Brand new hammocks mum and dad? OM Nom Nom Nom! Love The Furry Brotherhood :) It's been said already but yeah, rookie mistake. Everyone learns the hard way. Curtains, cushions from the couch near the cage, some of my chef whites are to name a few."

"Only about 2 out of our 8 in the house nibble toes. It's an odd thing. We let ours play on the bed at home and we can all watch tv etc. So it's an odd one. I've done a lot of research and it seems that some just like feet."

"Here's an odd side note. How quickly does your shame set in and you close your browser :P Ooooh and dual screens is giving me eyes like a chameleon"

"No probs, I tweeted it. I also looked into the charity. You know I think you should do an edit and explain more about the charity. I didn't know the charity was EU too! Most people might not either."

"Congrats, it's always nice to see another SC2 couple enjoying and playing together. I met my fiancee playing video games and still remains one of the pillars in our relationship. Tis a shame that she thinks that SC2 is all cheese and it takes a while to get her to play. I have explained that the Bronzies and Silvers barely know anything other than cheese builds (Well... EU anyways) I wish you luck on the ladder and hope you keep enjoying it."

"Well if you were splitting hairs. Was the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima not a catalyst for the end of World War II? Therefore pre-ww2?"
