@dokie 其实我们想把SSH帐号发到每一位平时需要访问FriendFeed的同学手中，但总得通过某个标准来判断申请人的真伪，所以才定了个所谓的“活跃用户”这个标准。如果你真的觉得自己很喜欢FriendFeed这个网站，隔几天就会来这看一看“今日最佳”，时不时地还会参与讨论的话，你就可以给我们发信了。

之所以最先发放给FriendFeed的活跃用户，是因为：i.friendfeed.com上的图片偶尔会无法显示，而Amazon的CloudFront似乎也不支持https加密访问；假如哪天FF被全面滴Ban掉，咱还能继续使用，我实在是喜欢FriendFeed的灵活多变，可以充分发挥使用者的想象力，比如还有Dropbox。

我不算是每天频繁访问FF的用户，但注册的很早，ff被墙之后就很少翻墙上来了（刚看了下，经常有同步过来的微博)。但在博客上有转载过其他翻墙的工具，如：http://anchorfree.com/， 其他VPN等，可惜很多方法已失效。现在经常用的是tor，每天都需要发邮件去get bridges。所以想尝试下SSH的方式。希望可以收到，感谢！如可捐助，请告知paybal账户。

I see no reason that it wouldn't work on WordPress. I integrated FB Connect into my theme a while back, and it's easy enough to do. This would just take the "create a FB App" out of the process.

Google Friend Connect had this process for a while, now they improved over FC again by eliminating the file-upload part. No uploads needed now.

The whole file upload thing is necessary for allowing FB to set cookies on your site (cross-domain). It's not hard, just upload the file to your web host in the normal manner, like FTP or what have you. I mean, you had to upload WordPress to the site the first time, right? Google gets around it by not storing cookies on your domain, they just call back to their servers on every hit instead.

actually Otto somebody else uploaded WordPress to my site for the first time. I'm not sure how to upload files to my domain. It would be nice if they had a WP widget that you could just install that did all of this for you.

Unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way, Thomas. WordPress doesn't really have the same kind of control over your website that you do, in many cases. And if you don't have the ability to put files on and off your site, then it's really questionable as to whether it's "your" site at all. I'd highly recommend getting that level of control, ASAP.

@Kol: actually, no, it's FF's issue, flickr returns RSS for my items and favorites with mid-size thumbnails, see example: here's fav-feed — http://api.flickr.com/service... and last posted feed — http://api.flickr.com/service...

I think what Kol meant is there's no size between Flickr's Thumbnail and Small size. Thumbnail (100 x 75) is used on FF now and Small (240 x 180) is too big.

I just recognized that FF is using Square (75 x 75) instead of Thumbnail, but they don't differ in height.

For some reason Picasa is imported into FF as a set of thumbnails with 144 pixels on the long side (non-square): http://friendfeed.com/search.... This means that Flickr feeds could be imported as thuimbnails (120 px on the long side) or even 240px (Flickr's "middle-sized" thumbnails). So it's indeed a decision on FF's side, not Flickr's fault.

开邮箱，赫然三日前twitter来信：账号要作废。一看，果然，suspended。理由是：一星期内无登录。
去年7月4日开始，饶舌近600条tweet，follow十几人，被follow三十几人。撞墙以来，登录渐疏，又玩上friendfeed，同步到twitter，login就更少，但更新每天也有一、二条。
数日前朋友twitter过期，他不冤：注册后从未更新，follow零，被follow壹。

我被封过两次，第一次11天，第二次只有数小时。中间出现过following/followers清零，根据处理结果的反馈来看，都是误伤，现已恢复。

Twitter大概是因为扩张太快，人手不够，处理用户请求动作很慢。从用户日常体验本身来看，fail whale、丢数据时常发生，后面的架构给人感觉也有些单薄(只是感觉)，修修补补，稍微一动就伤筋动骨的。

Stanislas: not to mention they encourage their smartest and richest people to leave (the ones who have technical skills). There's a reason why Silicon Valley has 10,000 or more Iranians living here. Their government sucks and the people are getting tired of it. Of course if their government was great I would never have met my wife (who grew up in Tehran). The knee jerk reactions in attempting to block certain websites shows how much they didn't expect the net to become such a widespread conduit for cutting through the bs and informing those that wish to know. Friendfeed and Twitter are quite vital for us now. Our main source of exchanging information and news is Friendfeed. i was 53rd active user in friendfeed until this filtering. now i can open FF with proxies and if i can fine. a Vpn but many Vpn here come from companies that have relations with security services, i thunk they allow us to bypass filternig and then, they will arrest who has wrote against their goals

Selma: 1- I don't use a proxy but clearing all but one (deleting them all logs me out) instance of each friendfeed.com cookie name and refreshing the page always solves this for me in Firefox. Has never happened on Lunascape or IE. Good luck.

The reason I ask is because if you can email a post, then try sending it to share@friendfeed and also to YourUserName@friendfeed. Then when someone comments you'll receive an email about it and you can comment back to the thread via email as well.

Alexandros: Frienddeck could work for certain parts - posts and queries against user accounts are proxied through the App Engine, searches are direct against Friendfeed so they could probably not work.

说实话，这本书的情节没有什么曲折，人物塑造的也不是很成功，两个人之间的爱情没有基础，好象就是为了性交而性交。奥威尔实际上一直在苦心寻找两个东西：代表真相的形象和揭示权力的独特词句，待这些准备完成后，他的终极目的是提出一个可怕的预言。他使用了一种同辈作家完全陌生的文体吸引着数量惊人的各种读者。但是这本书真正的意义是关于书中的一些政治预言或理论。特别是寡头政治集体主义的理论和实践》书中最震撼人心的部分能带给人更多的思考。奥威尔的写作天平从来就是不平衡的，他早早地倒向了意识形态托盘的一方。文学，不过是被搬进特洛伊的木马，而躲藏在马肚子里的政治却在深夜突破了文学的肃穆，并一举捣毁了大敌，唱响了对专制集权主义的丧歌。我因此获得了极大的阅读快感，自己终于从重重的谎言和欺骗中冲了出来，接触到了残酷的真相。虽然这个真相很残酷，很悲观，但是这毕竟是真相。
