"Mitek Systems has released its latest iPhone application, Mobile Receipt. The application is used to convert iPhone-captured images into an expense report for tax reporting purposes. After assigning receipt photographs to their respective expense categories, the IMagePROVE system automatically crops, rotates and scales the image so it is readable. Users can also add various pieces of relevant information to each listing, such as where it is from, amount totals, or additional notes. Expense reports, including the information and images, can then be sent to an e-mail address. Mitek's Office On My Phone line of iPhone apps also includes Mobile Deposit, a program that is used to deposit checks over the phone.
