I don't even know where to buy duck around here. #bourgeois
If there is a Food4Less near you, they now carry it in the frozen food section. There's a guy who shows up at the farmer's markets over there who has it, sometimes. It's frozen. If you can get to Farmer's Market on 3rd & Fairfax, the Farmer's Market Poultry (http://www.farmersmarketla.com/groceri...) usually have it, but you should call first. - Anika
The Food4Lesses are all an hour away by transit. I'll probably at least have to get a CA driver's license and rent a car every now and then. =P - Andrew C (✓)
ooh, a search on Chowhound turned this up: http://www.surfaslosangeles.com/ - Andrew C (✓)
Zipcar is good for that sort of thing if you have a Zipcar point near you. - Spidra Webster
Really? There's not one there? How about Jon's or Albertson's? - Anika
Surfas is heaven on earth. I had no idea they started selling poultry. It's mostly a restaurant supply place. - Anika
And there's Father's Office nearby too! - Andrew C (✓)
If you get there early enough, you have to get some brioche from La Dijonaise. - Anika
For anyone who wants closure, Surfas had duck confit and duck breasts, but no whole ducks. I bought a duck breast because I wanted to make duck prosciutto anyways. Also, Surfas is right across the street from the Culver City Expo Line's parking lot. - Andrew C (✓)
Good to know. - Spidra Webster
