"One of these days I'm going to be this organized and set some goals. Alas it's not today ;). Keep posting and I'm boing to get motivated."

"nuTsie sounds very interesting. I think it's a great way to discover music even from your home area. Sometimes stumbling across a band you've never heard of in your home town is the even cooler. I'm going to check this out."
- Dale Adams
"There has been no other band that has proved to me so much that music is truly universal like Sigur Ros. Even though I understand nothing of what they sing every time I hear Hoppipolla I get chills throughout my entire body. Takk was an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end. If you really enjoy there music you should check out their documentary Heima. Absolutely Incredible."

"Are these quotes by him because to even say 1472 was the most classic hip-hop album created is so ridiculous I can't even start a flame war. 3 words: Biggie, Dre, 2pac. End of my list."
- Dale Adams
"Omg, I wouldn't even know what to do if that happened to me. "You dude put that thing away". LOL. I think that hardships and tough times are what we grow from the most. It's unfortunate but it seems to be the case for me anyways. As 2pac said ,"Gotta keep ya head up"."

I think Soundcloud is a great service. Let me see.... paying for a service that helps you distribute your music across to thousands and millions of potential people who are part of a community. I would rather pay a small monthly fee upfront that to pay a costly one on the backend. Pun intended. I think that the way music is consumed in the future will be in many forms. There will be no one way to get it. It's a preference of what works best for the individual fan. Basically there won't be any more quadopolies. Sure there's more noise but more choices are better for developing niches. It's not all going to be good when your cost of admission is low. We just have to figure out the best way to filter out the fluff.

"Definitely an interesting partnership. It seems to be a solid move into the online branding of UMG. Although I am quite hesitant about the sharing of content part of the equation. See what restrictions this comes with."

"Of course my friend, you are the expert in the field of grape as I am just going on the basics of a palette as amateur as mine ;). FTR, this Kings of Leon has not left my Cd player in my car in almost a month. Still Rockin' it!"

"Thanks Nav. It seems that we can do the same thing over and over but that gets boring. The only way to keep this from not happening is to do new things and have new experiences and conversations with people. This is what twitter has brought into my life anyways."
- Dale Adams
"I know right. Too many things happening around Twitter these days. Get on board musicians ;). Look forward to working with you and the rest crew on Spy For Hire and Debutaunts projects."

"I have to say that the iPhone app saved brightkite for me. I used it everyday until about a month ago and then noticed that my participation slowed down to almost nothing. The second the app showed up, I was back in full on mode at CMJ in NYC with Brightkite. It is a well thought out and simple app that was worth every second of the waiting."

OMG, it is embarassing how many points I accumulated. Don't go there!

I was, not anymore, it's pretty much just Friendfeed now

Oh no, 215 pts. Without a scale I'm not sure how much of a twitter junkie I am. Is this like that AA thing, just admit you have a problem and get help. I think there should definitely be scaling going on before I or twitter admit there is a problem or this could result in a failwhale ;)

Joe Biden's pro-RIAA, pro-FBI voting record: Biden's legislation is the reason PGP was invented. He wanted to make it a federal felony to have your computer run "unauthorized programs". - http://www.reddit.com/goto...
One cannot overstate just how serious a problem this is for developing any enthusiasm for the Obama/Biden ticket. Why is it that so many people who seek high public office are so attracted to totalitarian policies? An obvious answer: they seek high public office because they are power freaks. But -- McCain and his neocon puppeteers appear to be much worse than Obama and Biden.

Is this a determining factor for most americans? For all those in tech it is but what about your average smoez?

Privacy and copyright aren't really 'tech' issues. I'd say this reasonably affects everyone...whether they realize it or not.
- abacab
Look, we can whine about this all we want, but Obama is sooo far superior to McCain on a tech front. I mean, seriously.
- Scott Cederberg
Dale, It is big factor because much of Obama's support is coming via the internet, California, and Silicon Valley. Sure his support is much wider than that but still, the tech community has a loud voice. This is also important to young people in general. Obama is taking his base for granted and swinging to the middle. Bad move. His base might lose enthusiasm.
- Steve Olson
This will make the choice of the 'CTO' a little more interesting.
- Robin Barooah
Is expressing concern about privacy and copyright considered "whining" now?
- Mitch Wagner
Steve Olson -- Barack Obama already lost much of his base several months ago. Have you noticed that the big buzz on Obama has completely disappeared? It turns out, he really was nothing but an empty suit with a glib line of patter. Are you aware that Joe Biden also wants to partition Iraq into three sections? That is more extreme than any policy advocated by even Bush and Cheney -- it originates from the extreme *RIGHT* of the Israeli political spectrum. This ticket is a disaster.
- Sean McBride
Maybe I'll just sit out this next Presidential election :(
- Thomas Hawk
Thomas -- there is little point in trying to pretend that both major political parties are not thoroughly corrupt, owned by the same special interests and a complete disaster. It is an insult to one's intelligence to participate in the charade. One can choose to "vote," to make a political statement, by choosing not to play.
- Sean McBride
you might be right Sean. It's unfortunate though that politics in the US are so locked up with the current political parties and their special interests.
- Thomas Hawk
I supported Kucinich, but with him out of the race Obama is the only choice. I think it's important to vote for the clearly lesser evil. Watch my favorited youtube videos to see why you don't want McCain anywhere near the nuclear button.
