I have the same problem with Win 7, ArcGIS 9.3 and ArcPhoto 1.4.4. With 1.4.2 it works, but then I can't use the function "batch create photo elements"....
yes, there is currently an issue that I am working on, I am waiting on confirmation from a couple of testers, ...1.4.5 should become available within a couple of days - Thomas Emge

Also the Quick View works and the Photo Map Tip

Hey, uh, I can't seem to get a photo element to display on the map after running the Load ArcPhoto Elements into a Geodatabase model. Windows 7, ArcGIS 9.3 Info, ArcPhoto 1.4.2. It works fine on my Vista machine. The model runs normally and says the Make Photo Layer was successful but noithing in the TOC. A feature class is created in the gdb.

I am trying to figure out how important it is for users to run the ArcPhoto tools inside of Engine vs. Desktop?
Thomas Emge
ArcPhoto (Version 1.4.1) is live, go get it at http://arcscripts.esri.com/details... - ArcPhoto is the quickest way to integrate digital photographs into the ArcGIS platform - and it is free and open ;)
I'm downloading it now... thanks - Agus Salim

Hi Thomas, I like the ArcPhoto extension you've made and i'm wondering if you could advise me towards any good guides for getting to grips with a language like C# or C++ so I can start extending ArcGIS. I've been looking around and found helpful guides on ESRI pages but of course with an older version of VB. Any advice or pointers?
It depends where you are coming from. I would recommend to look on Amazon for a good C# starter book. After that take a closer look at .NET/COM interop and get to know some of the details. While studying that topic you would start coding with implementing something like ICommand and/or ITool for extending ArcGIS. Once those basics are covered you pretty ready to go in any kind of direction. - Thomas Emge

Is there an interest to meet #ArcPhoto users at the UC? I am open for suggestions.
Thomas Emge
coding for the next release (1.4) is almost done. New feature are: IPTC header support, batch geolocate/geotagging support, and script to convert GPS tracklog shapefile to route shapefile for input into Match Photo location geoprocessing tool

PhotoSynth integration into VirtualEarth (http://www.techcrunch.com/2009...). Does anyone have any suggestions for bringing #ArcPhoto into this environment?

Is there a greater need to support more mobile devices? How can the #ArcPhoto tools provide greater support for emergency assessment?
