Here's a curve ball: do you feel that because you're tech savvy, that gives you an advantage as an expert photographer ? - Armando Alves

Let's see if I don't strike out with that curve ball... :-) I don't think it's the being "tech savvy" that helps me, but the reason *why* I'm "tech savvy", i.e., I'm a tinkerer, I've always been, since I was a little child, all about the "how" and "why" of things. Photography is a bit part of that. - Pedro Pinheiro
"“What if Google were to disappear for some reason? Would the Web vanish into thin air?” And then I quickly realized, no. Because the Web is not about a single entity. It is about a cooperative network of computers that are all connected across the globe. The computers have meaning because We, the people are now tightly connected together through these devices. We are a strong world today because we can now connect with each other in ways that were simply impossible before. Across time and space." - Armando Alves

Sorry for the harsh condom artwork, but i was trying to make a strong point: Social media should be encouraged, as long as you take precautions :) - Armando Alves
Oh boy, here we go: everyone is after the Curator title. Things will get harder for me, si i'd better start looking for a different tagline for my blog :) - Armando Alves

I like it better now... most of the frequent clicking is in the upper left corner, instead of having to mouse all over the screen to get to stuff. - £ogical €xtremes
It's better: the right side is used for user-specific info - I missed that. - Steve Isaacs
Too narrow, hover popup blocks the other links. Post counts no longer displayed. My mouse lives on the right so *now* I have to move my mouse more. This is fun! :) - Jack Baty
I think it depends on if you're a lefty or a righty. - Steve Rubel
Nav should _not_ be on the left for left-to-right reading. The most important aspect of friendfeed is the content, not the menu. Additionally, to reach the menu, the mouse now has to cross the content, which is distracting not to mention requiring farther to travel (notice where your mouse hovers when you scroll the page). http://friendfeed.com/e/1d9a06... - ·[▪_▪]·
I liked it SO much better on the right. Content is king, should be to the left. Nav is secondary, should be to the right. - Jandy Stone
Stop dividing our Friendfeed country ! Put the bar on the right. (Update: can't we have a drag/drop sidebar?) - Armando Alves
For not forgeting my ideas(*) (specially for blog posts but also for anything else) I use two of the many GTD apps in Ubuntu. Tomboy notes and Sticky notes. (*=also for searching them and keep an eye on them.). As soon as I have done one of them I simply delete it if it's not important. If it is though, I simply write in the title --DONE--. :-) - Apostolos Papadopoulos

Oh, I was using Jott for my "while driving" epiphanies. Today it said "that option is not a part of your plan" or something so I promptly removed Jott from my address book. I liked Jott, but I don't have spare cash this year. - Daniel J. Pritchett
"Key assertion: you don't publish it unless it's good. You don't write more blog posts than you can support, don't ship more variations of that software than your engineers can make marvelous. But given that you've got enough bench strength, enough remarkability to spare, now what?" - Armando Alves

"Suppose we ask people from all around the world to do their own re-interpretations of a tune? And what better than 'Gobbledigook', the gibberish anthem itself?
So here we are: we're giving you the backing track stripped of lead vocal (SEE MP3 BELOW), and the lyrics in both (broken) English and Icelandic. Feel free to use or discard both or either, as you see fit. All we ask is that you supply your own rendition of this free-spirited branch of Sigur Ros's development. No holds barred. The only thing to fear is fear itself, etc, etc" - Armando Alves

I like to think those as "softlinks". The same way "hardlinking" connects technologies like QR codes to the web, the importance of placing an URL in the effectiveness of your communication strategy is something worthy of research. Perhaps Forrester will do something about it :) - Armando Alves
