Can we please ask sites like Friendfeed to format our plurks properly? I guess it's probably due to a lack of API, but I do want more people to see how cute Plurk is with its embedded photos/videos and linked text. :(
sry m8, was watching with mini live feed, clipped part of message, your right would be much smoother that way

Plurks on FF still suck. They get cut off when you post URLs and the updates therefore don't make sense. Fix this please.

Blame the A-Team. They don't want others to build apps for Plurk, Developers are hesitant to develop for Plurk as any changes could potentially break their programs.

You're on fire, Dave, and absolutely right on. Imagine if someone bought FriendFeed and decided to just pull the plug -- holy cow, can you say uproar?

What needs to get back on the table is to make this social contract explicit. Sites want our attention and effort in return for effecting change in our life, there is an implicit contract. When they shut down on us and leave us in the lurch, they broke that end of the contract and we have a right to want satisfaction from that.

And also, thank you very much. Every so often I get my string pulled, and this has done it.

Dead on, Dave. I was actually going to make a comment along these lines on mike's thread, but you beat me to it, and filled it out well. The whole "it's free you can't complain" meme is BS. As you said, WE created part of the value that got Rael acquired. That's nice for him, but to just immediately turn around and shut down a service you DESIGNED as "my personal assistant" is irresponsible. Of course, I've come to expect nothing less from Twitter. They're free to shut it off; we're free to bitch about it.
