Just restarted my ipod touch and got the pink screen of death, I am really annoyed that I hadn't backed it up for ages.

Doesn't it get backed up every time you sync? I think the apps and data does, though not the music?

I rarely connect it to the computer to sync, I don't change music regularly so never found the need. My first attempt at a restore has failed, just hoping it isn't broken.
