My hubby made dinner two nights in a row without being asked & astonishingly baked homemade bread. I'm shocked to announce that he's a Pod Person but that I don't care if I'm now married to an alien.
We've created an online baby name survey where you can vote on the names we're thinking of or suggest your own. Ahh, technology is fun. If anyone hasn't done it yet that's interested let me know & I'll email you the form.
Pass it along, please! - Ryan Kaisoglus
I had false labor last Saturday. Contractions every 5 minutes. First they freaked me out by talking about bedrest for the next 13 weeks, then after certain test results came back told me I'm fine and not to worry about it. Ack! This whole pregnancy thing is unnerving!
My job is sometimes being an "expert" on things I'm not. Such as frantically learning all I can about epidural pumps in 20 minutes so I can do inservices to the staff all day and hope they don't ask too many questions.
Today: boring errands like oil changes, housework. Tonight: video gaming Left For Dead!!
Today: boring things like work, work, and work. Tonight: deciding whether to keep playing through 'CoD: MW2' or switch over to 'L4D2'. - Ryan Kaisoglus
My day is organized chaos. The hospital is moving 120 patients to the new building today.
This hospital where I work is moving into a brand new building this Sunday. They plan on moving ALL patients and staff in less than 6 hours. I'll be a busy bee that day.
Spent the day installing new baseboard and casing in the nursery. I envisioned being finished, but my last piece of painted casing I cut too friggin' short! I shake my fist and gnash my teeth!
Checked out daycares today. Seems odd that we need to do it for something that's still a fetus. Who's been kicking up a storm lately, by the way.
My world has narrowed down to sewing perpetual plaid pleats.
Halloween sewing done... now onto Dickens Fair sewing-- won't be able to fit the baby belly under a dress intended to be worn with a corset.
My stint as labcoat wearing gorilla in a mad scientist's lab went great last night. Now pondering what to add next year.... Frankenstien? A robot? Decisions, decisions.
Sewing the walls of a toxic sewer... endless white stitches equals future spooky.
I'm just starting to tell co-workers, so it was fun having lunch with a group, having one ask, "So, when are you going to have kids?", and responding with "February". The look on everyone's face was priceless.
When we were in York we accidentaly went to a church service in a Gothic cathedral. We felt a little out of sorts, but the huge pipe organ and choir reverberating sound off of the ceiling were amazing.
Recently took part in a saugage tasting contest in York, tasted almost 20 sausages, yum. Brits really take their sausage much more seriously than us Yanks. The winner got added to the pub's menu for the next year.
Enjoying a lazy morning on a canalboat in England. Breakfast cooking smells in the air, chilly outside, warm & cozy inside, yum.
I'm pregnant! It's a girl! Woohoo!! Anyone have any baby stuff that needs a new home?
Congratulations! - Mark Novak
Holy crap. Big news! Many congratulations to you and Cy. - Ryan Kaisoglus
Congratulations! We have a Graco SafeSeat1 infant seat and folding stroller. Bought new, used until Anyanka got too big. It's brown/green. A whole bunch of stuff just went to a friend due in November, but anything they don't want we can circle back to you. Pretty much all our clothes and infant toys are gone, though....we gave them away pretty quick. No intent for a #2. :) - Alessandra Novak
Congrats :) - ipek aral kişioğlu
Am fretting over packing just the right amount for a trip to England-- trying to err on the side of too little rather than too much.
In Arizona visiting family. I'm reminded why I try to never visit before November. I'm wilting.
New job kickin' my butt. Put in close to 12 hrs today but I'm tentativly almost thinking I might like the new job, but not ready to say for sure.
Athena learned today that inserting bigger foley catheters works better than smaller. Unfortunate, but true.
An alien took over my brain and somehow caused me to delete all of my home computer documents. Thankfully she'll be saved by her heroic sys-admin hubby.
My house and car was egged last night. Damn miscreants.
First day at new job. I've been ignored most of the day and am trying to decide if that's good or bad.
Enjoy it while it lasts...you'll have plenty of people needing your time and attention in short order! - Ryan Kaisoglus
Athena hosted a brunch yesterday. I enjoyed that more than hosting evening affairs, more relaxed.
Athena was told by the contractor that the water heater would be installed today, liar. Now I'm living without hot water like a caveman.
uh oh! Will they be back tomorrow to finish? - Rachel Lea Fox
I think it's time to get to know your neighbors! - Kevin Fox
Kevin *lol* - Rachel Lea Fox
"excuse me, but I could I borrow a cup of hot water?" - Brian Johns
Athena has a new job as a Nurse Educator! Yay! Eeek!
YAY!! - Kevin Fox
Congratulations - best wishes on your new post! - Ryan Kaisoglus
Athena is watching a kitten this weekend who needs socialization. My job is to pet her a lot and her job will be to reluctantly like it.
Athena has spent too many hours shopping for the perfect interview outfit. Argh, clothing styles are awful right now! It's all revealing necklines, see-through, sleeveless, or ugly!
