My wife and mother-in-law used to swear by these ear candles. I tried it a few times and it was interesting (lots of crackling). But the intended effect (drawing out impacted ear wax) doesn't actually happen. It's been disproven clinically.

Actually, it's inherently unfair to say that comedy is less valuable than drama. It's a blindered opinion that many awards ceremonies suffer from (I'm looking at you, Oscars). That said, there is a reason that award ceremonies make categories. And even those are broken down enough. It's hard to compare a half-hour show to an hour show. An hour show gets to explore things a half-hour show can't do because of time constraints, for one.
