The first comeback could be of controversial team boss Flavio Briatore. Flavio is the former boss of the Renault F1 team who was banned from Formula 1 after he was proved guilty in the ‘crash-gate’ episode that dogged Formula1 in 2008. Flavio, and his then Technical Director, Pat Symonds, ordered their second driver, Nelson Piquet Jr., to purposely crash his car in Singapore. The crash resulted in the deployment of the Safety Car, which handed the advantage, and subsequently the race win, to Fernando Alonso – who was racing for Renault back then.
