We've been trying to figure out how these giant Super Bowl decal graphics could glow in the dark at night. Does anyone know more about how these graphics work? They look unreal.

"In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed."

"We see people with awesome piercings every so often and think, "That'd be neat to have, but they must have been working on that for years." For people who don't have that kind of time, we introduce the commitment-free Dragon Ear Wrap. He hovers over your right shoulder, whispering bad ideas into your ear (like dragons do), but he doesn't require any special piercings; a single, standard earring hole will do. Gotta be in your right earlobe for this to work, though."

I was kind of hoping that it was a Bluetooth headset... Wouldn't it be kind of neat to have a tiny dragon whispering into your ear?

"We love goldfish, but alas, we're also lazy and forget to feed the little dudes. And we're ever so tired of all the toilet bowl funerals. That was just a joke to mention toilets, as we would never fail to feed our fishy friends. But what if there was an easier way to enjoy a goldfish without having to worry about food? There is (huzzah!) and it is the Electronic Goldfish in a Bowl."

"MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A national organization of recreational cavers is questioning a new estimate of the number of bats killed by a mysterious ailment that is spreading across the country. The estimate by state and federal scientists said 5.7 million to 6.7 million bats had died across the Northeast from what's known as white nose syndrome. But that estimate, released this month, is flawed and could lead to unnecessary restrictions on access to caves across the country, said Peter Youngbear, a Vermont-based official with the National Speleological Society. "This is extremely important as this number is likely to drive significant wildlife and land management decisions," Youngbear wrote in a letter to the director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service."

I think that if there's any risk of harming more bats, the cavers ought to slow down their activities for a couple of years until it clears up. It's not necessary to go exploring all caves all the time.
- Kamilah Reed (K. Gill)
I agree with you Kamilah, surely nature must come before profit and ones personal enjoyment, not to mention, there must be other caves that they can explore, if not, there must be other similar activities they can indulge in. I'd of thought that half the fun of exploring a cave was to marvel at it's specialised flora/fauna and its opportunistic inhabitants, such as bats? In which case, conservation is paramount.

"In Rio, the familiar Angry Birds have been kidnapped and taken to Rio de Janeiro.[2] Just as in the original Angry Birds, players use a slingshot to launch birds at nearby structures, with the intent of hitting targets located on or within them. Instead of evil pigs that have stolen eggs, players must now rescue caged exotic birds or defeat evil marmosets, depending on the level being played. Certain levels allow players to use Blu and Jewel, the two lead characters from Rio. The game also includes the first boss fights to appear in the series, when the player uses the birds to attack Nigel, the main antagonist from the film,[4] as well as new hidden items to collect as the player progresses through the game"

"Much has been written about the relationship between the French and their cuisine, but one could also argue that the people of Japan take their love for food a step -- or several galloping strides -- further. Where else is it common to embark on weekend trips, the sole purpose of which is to sample several varieties of a single dish? Modern Japanese kyodo ryori, or regional cuisine, is a tourist attraction all of its own, with a signature dish for nearly every major city."

"Oh come on! The best part about the mess that was Qwikster was the possibility of renting games from Netflix. Now they take that away from us too? That new season of Arrested Development better be amazing. During today's earnings call with investors, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced that the company no longer plans to rent videos games along side DVDs and Blu-rays. The video game rental plan was part of the disastrous Qwikster spin-off business that ultimately crashed and burned. Goodbye Netflix video games, we hardly knew you."
