warning... found out that not all Arby's are offfering all flavors as part of the free shakes. at the downtown Indianapolis one you could choose your flavor, but one on the westside of the city you only could get the Orange one... so results could vary from store to store.

Kamilah you haven't seen Star Wars?
- Anika Malone
Hrrhrhrhrrrh!! (How do you transliterate the sound Chewbacca makes, anyway?)
- Victor Ganata
LOL @Victor. I bet Professor Higgins could help with that one.
- Anika Malone
I did, of course (HUNDREDS of times against my will while working at Meijer a long time ago in a galaxy far away). This itty little quote just escaped me out of context. ++Victor. That should be submitted to that onomatopoeia thread I saw the other day :D

Felt a little let down. Thought it would be alot better

I believe you guys when you say it's overhyped. After seeing the San Diego Zoo, our zoo will look puny in comparison forever from now on.
- Kamilah Gill
sorry to hear that about the dragons at the zoo... sounds like it would be better to spend the money to go see the King Tut exhibit at the Children's Museum...
- Harold
Yes we have best Children's Museum in the country in my opinion. We have season passes for both and go to both frequently.

sad... sad... sad... that's all I can say about the selection there anymore. there are lots of copies of the dumbest movies, but very few of the thought provoking new ones... then again, there are so very very few of those even being made anymore
- Harold
does anyone know of any really good (aka non-dumb) movies that recently came out on dvd? Or am I asking too much?
- Harold
Sorry! I haven't seen a movie in almost 2 years and don't know what is out there. (I realize this is weird.) You could always go for an old Hitchcock movie. I love Shadow of a Doubt!

Notice the two colors of ducklings. I think their daddy was a white farm-type duck.
- Kamilah Gill
interesting. I know that with swans they mostly start out greyish and then gradually turn white, but a few start out white. I wonder if this could be early differentiation in male/female coloring, too.

the DSLR allows for so much closer pics... using this for the background on my phone

4 Damselflies clinging to grass out of the canal in downtown Indianapolis
Straight Art Deco in the Village of West Clay. And I though Carmel was hoity-toity... Still, this is undeniably neat. I challenge the rest of you to post a picture of a more unique specimen of a chain store...
- Kamilah Gill
thanks... I have been enjoying figuring out the settings.

Be warned, it's a bloody addiction. Once you get into it, you'll want new lenses, you'll want to one day go full format, etc. But it's such a fun and rewarding addiction.

Lexmark at home for smaller photos, Longs Drugs for larger prints

I don't have a DSLR, but we print our high quality photos on our Canon Pro9000. Anything bigger than 2'x3' gets sent to a local printshop. Kinko's for clients who don't care about quality or are in a rush.

I have an HP Photosmart full size 8450. Kind of old now, no good new drivers for it so I have to print from memory cards to get the color right. I need a new one, but my wife tends to use Target/Wal-mart print services for quick prints.

Thanks everyone... I currently have an HP psc 2175 that does a great job with photo prints on soft gloss paper. It sounds like it will do a good job with higher quality prints.
- Harold
Hm. Guess I might have been wrong... Though it sounds like people might be saying that they take it to the "pros" when the pics get beyond a certain size. You might run into some resolution issues, I think, great as your printer is.
- Kamilah Gill
I think once you get past a certain size the printers get very expensive. Epson makes the typical prosumer level printers many DSLR owners use and a friend has one that prints wonderful, but you must consider price and cost to own. If you only print one off once in a while, the cost of dryed out ink alone can be outragous.
- Eric @ CS Techcast
I think he might print a lot. He loves photographs.

Very interesting about the timing of this... with the gas prices rising again today... this guy took a car and converted it to an electric car.

Something to think about... At 5 minutes and 6 seconds after 4 am on the 8th of July this year... the time and date will be: 04:05:06 07-08-09
