Stumbled across this one kind via some other link I think one of you shared. This one may be less humorous, but it's far more amazing (no offense) -- Especially given the fact that I use tools like VirtualDJ, Mixxx, ACID Pro, and Garage band quite a bit. I could only dream of having skills like this. - ax0n

At The Movies With The Geek : Avatar - http://www.jeffisageek.net/blog...
The plot was predictable and hackneyed, but holy crap! There was some insane eye candy to be had with the 3D IMAX experience. If the plot and story line looks lame to you, I still urge you to go check it out in 3D while you can. These movies tend to rotate out of the 3D suites after the second or third weekend unless there's nothing competing for 3D projectors and it's still doing well. - ax0n

Guest Post: Setting up a Pfsense firewall - http://www.h-i-r.net/2009...
Big thanks to BIOSShadow for this write-up and screen-shot walkthrough. I haven't had a chance to play with Pfsense yet, but now I have a feeling I may be using it for my home firewall in 2010. - ax0n

Installing telephones. Yeah, right. She's beige-boxing 30 feet up, and there's not a damn thing you're going to do about it. - ax0n

Picture table lets you hide your kitchen table in plain sight - http://dvice.com/archive...
This is actually very cool. While the obvious use is in lofts or cramped apartments, I could see things like this as functional art for multi-use spaces. A fold-up work bench for your garage featuring a poster calendar or cork-board on the "art" side. Or a two-student desk to turn a small learning space into an open, social room with some artistic flair. - ax0n

Battery Powered Clothes - http://digg.com/mods...
The average human body radiates about as much energy as a single 100-watt lightbulb throughout the course of a day -- 100 Watt/Hours. Considerably more than that with any significant effort. A single AA Battery stores less than 3% of that. Just put on some more clothes, for crying out loud. - ax0n

Lessons Learned from a Hacked Google Account [Security] - http://lifehacker.com/5429617...
Good information to know. Accounts can be compromised many ways. Many websites store passwords in plain text. Many logins happen unencrypted, particularly via forums. Password reset "secret questions" are often weak. Malware can monitor your keystrokes. Attackers can monitor your network traffic. The litany of weaknesses only begins there. As many of my security peers can attest: It's not if you will have to deal with a security compromise. It's when. - ax0n

I was in Eighth grade "keyboarding" class, and was hammering out 120 wpm with two errors on a Selectric, and I was not using home-row form but I was touch-typing. Try as he might, my instructor couldn't break 100 (zero errors) using his old and busted home-row method. I passed with a B despite my accuracy and speed because my "lack of form." I told my parents B stood for Bigotry when they saw my report card. I'm betting she doesn't home-row either, but I can't tell from the video clip. If she can land 200 wpm by 8th grade, kudos to her! She'll probably want to invest in some Nomex gloves. - ax0n

BBC news website asks users: 'Should homosexuals face execution?' - http://www.guardian.co.uk/media...
I cannot fathom any moral justification for this. Homosexuality is bad, so let's murder people because that's totally alright? Doesn't sound like a plan to me. - ax0n
