For once we hear the real truth as to why the GOP is blocking President Obama's health care initiatives. It is the same reason that they opposed Social Security and Medicare. They don't want universal health care, not because of the cost or any of the other phoney reasons that they are spouting. Orin Hatch tells the truth about the GOP agenda finally. Of course we knew this already, but it is refreshing to hear him actually say it right out loud.

Condolences to his friends and family. He was a great man and we are grateful for his service to his country and his fellow men. He will be sorely missed.

Crying over the fate on the Insurance companies? Unbelievable! No feelings at all for the millions of people that are denied proper Healthcare? People that die everyday because the same Insurance companies will not cover their treatments that could save them? Explain to us why every man, woman and child in this country does not deserve the same Healthcare that these crybaby Senators get? What is it that makes them more deserving than the rest of us?

I have noticed that Norah O'Donnell has become quite Republican since the election. Maybe she has always been one, but she was not so obvious about it before. When journalists start parroting Frank Luntz talking points it is a dead giveaway of their bias.

Too dangerous for the Public to know? If they are so dangerous, don't the people living near by have the right to know about sites that might affect them? This is obviously not about protecting the Public, it is protecting the companies that own these poisonous ash dumps.

Sounds like Big Pharma and Big Insurance might succeed in killing the public option. Will the people get screwed out of affordable health care AGAIN? Sadly it looks like that is exactly what is going to happen.

Powerline broadband could easily bring broadband service to rural areas that currently have no hope of getting it and cheap broadband for all of us. I would not be surprised if cable/fios companies lobbied the FCC to kill the development of this technology.

They want to be able to charge outrageous prices for internet use like they do for text messaging or like ATT used to do with long distance phone calls when they were a monopoly. Remember what phone bills used to be like then? Limiting internet usage is also an attempt to control our ability to access information. When newspapers and network news were the only game in town it was much easier to control the message and to keep things from the public.

So are there no penalties for violating the Geneva Convention? If it was our citizens that were waterboarded and tortured by another country, would we not do anything about it? Would we not want to prosecute those who were responsible or would we say forget about it, we just need to move on?

Do these people not know what teabagging is? Why they would choose to label themselves as teabaggers is beyond me. I have a hard time not thinking about the usual definition whenever I hear the term used. On second thought, after seeing some of these self defined teabaggers, I think it may be appropriate after all.

No surprise there with the cost of gas. I wish that there were public transportation available in my area. We have less options now than we had 20 years ago and I have not heard any of the local politicians making any effort to improve the situation.

Why why why Gregory? It should have been Rachael, but I guess the suits at NBC don't have the guts to pick her. She is too 21st century for them and they are still doing a 20th century news show. Too bad for them.
