"Thanks for the feedback! We definitely want to add Bitly support — just didn’t finish it in time for this version. If you want to keep up to date with releases (Bitly will be in the next, for sure), follow our blog or Twitter account (@BackType)."
"Thanks for trying out the plugin. There is an option to separate BackType Connect comments from the native comments on your blog (they are pushed to the end of the comments section). Additionally, if your Wordpress theme’s comments.php uses comment_class, then you can add CSS to style your BackType Connect comments differently. Feel free to follow up with me via e-mail (chris at backtype) and I’d be happy to help out."
"Comment impersonation is extremely rare; it has been a valid problem for very few of our users. The reason those comments are showing up on your BackType profile is because you claimed URLs that don't belong to you e.g. youtube.com. To claim comments on BackType, you provide a list of URLs that you publish with your comments, not a list of sites you comment on (we find those for you automatically). You should carefully review the URLs you claimed for your account: http://www.backtype.com/home... There's additional information available in our FAQ: http://www.backtype.com/faq#q4 Let me know if you have any other questions."
"Hey Justin, Thanks for your kind words; very happy to hear you’ve found a solution for your blog using both Chat Catcher and BackType Connect. Also, congrats to Shannon — we appreciate all the great work you’re doing with SPIURL and Chat Catcher to improve conversation on blogs. "Jared: Thanks for checking out our plugin; glad you’re enjoying it so far. Please continue to send us feedback and let us know what kind of customization you’re looking for — we’ll do our best to include it in the next release of the plugin."
"Twitter definitely doesn’t provide this kind of information; it would be difficult to do it with accuracy ourselves. Would definitely be awesome to have though — we’ll keep thinking about it. Thanks for your comment"
