if it was a dinner out I might be tempted, but it was plans to cook chicken then have milano cookies and sorbet for dessert. I can do that at home.
- Annie Boccio
hey!- all the kool kids and their rapper names are here :). Hi!
- Annie Boccio
I've been totally neglecting friendfreed, so I awoke with a start in the middle of the night and jumped back on with a post about twalkin, how's it going with your podcast and how's Sarah Vela?
- paul terry walhus
Snowing outside this window at the moment. Sticking to the roofs but not to the grass or the roads yet.

Me too. If it's a chain, then you'll see me at Best Buy, Crate & Barrel and The Gap.
- Admiral Anika
I'm worse than that- Target and Kohls for everything. I think I'll head to Crate & Barrel this weekend to shake things up :)
- Annie Boccio
Target is *always* the first place I hit. I've only been to Kohl's once and it gave me a headache. But the ones I listed often have really good prices, even better than Target at times. And of course, if you want to go for medium-quality, C&B and The Gap are it. Oooh. Then there's B&N, though I tend to buy my book gifts from Powell's or Alibris.
- Admiral Anika
I always disable comments on videos now
- Rodfather
This thread is EPIC FAIL!!!!! on my free speech! ;)
- Alex Scoble
one good way to moderate discussion is by posting on friendfeed. odd remarks don't bother me too much though
- Mike Chelen
Alex: you are free to speek whatever you like, on *your* internets
- Mike Chelen
Youtube has always had moderation, you just have to turn it on. On a vid with nearly 13,000 views I've only had to block a few comments :). I've let 29 thru.
- Annie Boccio
Have a great time! WIsh I was going with you! BTW the cookies @RSHotel are good. They have Macaroons.
- sukhjit
Had hoped to make it in, but got the first day of school wrong. It's tomorrow.
- Sarah
mmm, macaroons! Sarah I thought CT was annoying like NJ and started after Labor day. Sorry you can't be there! I'm kinda shocked that I can, actually.
- Annie Boccio
I also did that. But truth of the matter was that one of my kids was actually handicapped, so I had a good reason.
- Otir
Normal stalls are just too small for all the gymnastics required when helping little kids use the potty. And when I had one in a stroller? You better believe I used the big stalls!
- Annie Boccio
I think that the regulations in public places make it marked "handicapped" but it is meant also for pregnant women and persons with infants and young children. It should be clearly posted though. Well maybe pregnant women wouldn't like to be labelled "handicapped"!! :-)
- Otir
i'm so over this back and forth bullcrap up in Sackoftomoatoes. Do your fucking jobs and get this shit done already! Or I swear to God, you are ALL fucked come next election cycle!!!!!!
- Morgan Haley
it's been 2 weeks already. If I was that late, i would lose my job immediately. But these clowns get to keep their posh jobs at least until the next election cycle. Time to really get together and find a middle ground! Or else pull a Palin and get the F out of office!
- Morgan Haley
btw: i'm a long time registered democrat that voted for mr.S for govenor. now i regret that vote and many of the local district choices i made. not that things would be very different with different folks in power, but i want them to know that they have all lost my vote. every one of them. and i'm the dude that does vote every time it comes around. but hey, i'm only one vote right.....yeah....sure....
- Morgan Haley
Totally worth it. I went from not riding for years to being able to ride a hilly 75 mile route through the mountains.
- Wirehead
I have friends who ride hilly roads regularly, and long distance rides a few times each year. I don't really aspire to that, but I would like to ride a few miles and not get winded! And you never know...
- Annie Boccio
Well, pick a distance.... 5 miles is a good one... and stop driving when it's just going that 5 mile distance. And get some pannier bags and a rack for your bike so you can carry groceries and stuff. At least half the reason why I can do my long rides is because I bike a lot of short distances and thus the long distances are like nothin'
- Wirehead
I like comma's. But only for writintg. When making speaking notes, I make sentances as simple as possible.
- Roberto Bonini
I love commas, but only because I put them in where I naturally pause when speaking. Apparently I'm a super pauser.
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
It is tempting, of course, to reply in such a way, using numerous commas, so that I could annoy, agitate, and agreive Annie. Oops.
- CAJ, somewhere else
I, as you may not know, mentally pause, every, single, time I see a comma, so... yeah.

The Mobile, AL fire department has a contract with the YMCA to let all of their firefighters use whichever Y gyms they want. I went for an hour with my in-laws at christmas and I was surrounded by burly men in tight blue shirts working in pairs to lift heavy metal. I was mostly intimidated, but I imagine some of y'all might've had a different reaction :P
- Daniel J. Pritchett
I remember being strapped in with a harness, maybe 1" wide straps, connected with a clip to the seatbelt. I pretty much had free range as long as I stayed attached.
- Annie Boccio
Gonna quote my friend J here when people ask him for free counsel: "Sure. Can I have your car?"
- Sue Radd
Sue, I should try that. This girl asked specifically for a necklace/earring set I made that I sell for $200 as a base price, but she wanted it in pink and green. She didn't offer to buy the beads or silver. She didn't offer to buy the fabric for the purse, though she sent me a picture of the swatch, it sells for $21.95 a yard. Didn't offer to pay for my time. I got lunch. And to her and expensive lunch is the a buffet at an Indian restaurant.
- Admiral Anika
Dayum. As my dad used to say, "More guts than a butcher's broom...."
- Sue Radd
Oh, okay...now she's on IM kinda bitching me out. Oh and I should mention that the graduation is on Friday. Like in two days. I told her to get that girl a gift card somewhere. Ah and she's not even local. She lives in another state.
- Admiral Anika
It takes moxy to ask, but then to get MAD at you for declining to do free work! Sigh.
- Jess
Yeah, so this is kinda putting a damper on her 3 week visit next month. Now I don't even want to see her.
- Admiral Anika
I used to decorate cakes all the time and people were always asking the same thing of me. It's what caused me to stop. People always wanted a 4-tier custom made wedding cake for $25 or if it was given to them as a wedding gift, they thought they were being shortchanged by not getting a "real gift." One lady called me not too long ago and asked if I would make her daughter's graduation...
- Trish R
I think too many people are just clueless about the value of time. I get lots who say "oh, i just need something simple" but their something simple could take hours and hours to create.
- Annie Boccio
That's for sure, Annie. My friends *still* get upset I won't make them graphics or a website for free. The worse was a friend who wanted me to host her site on mine because she thought it was stupid to have to pay for hosting.
- Admiral Anika
My approach for these things is the first meeting [if I like you and you're a friend] will require payment of a home-cooked meal. After that the clock is on and/or you can call India for Tech Support.
- sean808080
it's funny, this is the first time in months that I've logged into friendfeed and I'm just now regretting staying away for so long
- David LaMorte
I used to use FF a ton- heck I'm even listed on AllTop as a friendfeederati or something like that lol. I've kept using it as an aggregator to send other places, but rarely use the site- might just start up again, though.
- Annie Boccio
you've been telling me you're a genius since you were seventeen, in all the time I've known you I still don't know what you mean
