Target is *always* the first place I hit. I've only been to Kohl's once and it gave me a headache. But the ones I listed often have really good prices, even better than Target at times. And of course, if you want to go for medium-quality, C&B and The Gap are it. Oooh. Then there's B&N, though I tend to buy my book gifts from Powell's or Alibris.

@ChazFrench I always used the handicapped stall with my kids, unless of course there was someone in a chair waiting...
I also did that. But truth of the matter was that one of my kids was actually handicapped, so I had a good reason.

Normal stalls are just too small for all the gymnastics required when helping little kids use the potty. And when I had one in a stroller? You better believe I used the big stalls!

I think that the regulations in public places make it marked "handicapped" but it is meant also for pregnant women and persons with infants and young children. It should be clearly posted though. Well maybe pregnant women wouldn't like to be labelled "handicapped"!! :-)

btw: i'm a long time registered democrat that voted for mr.S for govenor. now i regret that vote and many of the local district choices i made. not that things would be very different with different folks in power, but i want them to know that they have all lost my vote. every one of them. and i'm the dude that does vote every time it comes around. but hey, i'm only one vote right.....yeah....sure....

I have friends who ride hilly roads regularly, and long distance rides a few times each year. I don't really aspire to that, but I would like to ride a few miles and not get winded! And you never know...

Well, pick a distance.... 5 miles is a good one... and stop driving when it's just going that 5 mile distance. And get some pannier bags and a rack for your bike so you can carry groceries and stuff. At least half the reason why I can do my long rides is because I bike a lot of short distances and thus the long distances are like nothin'

The Mobile, AL fire department has a contract with the YMCA to let all of their firefighters use whichever Y gyms they want. I went for an hour with my in-laws at christmas and I was surrounded by burly men in tight blue shirts working in pairs to lift heavy metal. I was mostly intimidated, but I imagine some of y'all might've had a different reaction :P

I remember being strapped in with a harness, maybe 1" wide straps, connected with a clip to the seatbelt. I pretty much had free range as long as I stayed attached.

Sue, I should try that. This girl asked specifically for a necklace/earring set I made that I sell for $200 as a base price, but she wanted it in pink and green. She didn't offer to buy the beads or silver. She didn't offer to buy the fabric for the purse, though she sent me a picture of the swatch, it sells for $21.95 a yard. Didn't offer to pay for my time. I got lunch. And to her and expensive lunch is the a buffet at an Indian restaurant.

People always wanted a 4-tier custom made wedding cake for $25 or if it was given to them as a wedding gift, they thought they were being shortchanged by not getting a "real gift."
