SWBN Releases the Ladybug Sales Letter
This letter has been tested by ALL of the big names in the internet marketing sphere and has been proven to be 100% successful in convincing our clients we are the BEST people for them. - Allison from Bookmarklet
I just downloaded mine. Short and fun report. But they only give out limited copies. ASAP. - Buff Toast
hmm I really downloaded a copy and saw what it had - TrafficBug
Oh my God, this is an absolute killer. Allison, I just put up this sales letter on my site yesterday, and my conversions are up to 68%. Thanks for posting it here. Guys, guys, I urge you take advantage of this and download it before they pull it down! - Ritesh Lal
My conversions are going up too. Just hit my first $5000 day using this technique. Awesome work, Ladies!! - Barry Unruh
Oh Guys...You got me - FRAK
Thanks to everyone that enjoyed this and played along :) I also hope it gave you some ideas about how you can market WITHOUT seeming like you are screaming in people's faces. This was picked up by a site that lists Internet April Fools Day tricks and sent a ton of traffic across, sure it's not directed traffic, but if we were pushing a product or adsense etc from the site it was an opportunity for income - Allison
Ed Dale
That was a great summary. Loved it. - Barry Unruh
I tend to agree with this. - Sandra
Peter Gibson
Is anyone else having an impossible time logging in to the 30 day challenge website? I just tried to go there to check my stats tracker page and it won't log in and just keeps redirecting me back to the log in page.
Ditto - Barry Unruh

I want to create a Twitter account for my niche. I think it would be best to use my main keyword phrase as a username but it is too long. My keyword is along the lines of "How To ...". What to choose as a Username now? Get rid of the "How To" or write "How2"?
Personally I would use the pen-name that you use tin the niche. I can't abide blatant sales names. I may be the minority though as I am an early adopter for technology not for marketing :) - Allison
Your tweets should be key word rich, not your name. Your name should be all about your identity as a real person in your niche. Be it a nickname, a pen name, or your real name. - Barry Unruh
Thank you. I thought it would look too spammy. I think I will stay with my main Twitter account and use the other one to spread my links a little further. - Michael Netsch
I asked a similar Q in 30DC+ forum ... here it is http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/forums... - Buff Toast
@Barry, agreed - Alistair (alpinefolk)
Greg
Twitter, to include personal stuff or not ? If I set up two accounts one personal and one biz do I make some personal posts in the biz account ? Unlike Ed, my name is not my brand.
Enough personal post information to make you real to your niche. You want to become their consultant and friend. By sharing a little personal, you will be more approachable to them. At least that's my two cents worth... - Barry Unruh
you can mix+match both, which is what I do - TrafficBug
If you go strictly biz then it comes across spammy. I like to see a bit of both with the tweets I follow. - Elizabeth
Hmm... well I guess personal things that relate to your niche would be good. Like if you're in the coffee niche, you can say things like "Drank 10 shots of expresso and now I can't sit still" Other then that, I guess you have to be selective... - Art Y.

I love the 30DC+ videos and I really want to step in and doing all Ed is talking about, but I just can't start making my own product, I don't know what and how etc. It is so damn hard :(
Mitja, that's exactly why Ed talks about getting in your "hours". You need to just choose a creating method, and start doing it. Even if it feels unnatural and hard to start with. After you've tried a few times, even if you don't release it to the public, it will get easier and easier. Practice makes everything easier. - Barry Unruh
ok that is interesting - Mitja MG
Don't be discouraged Mitja! Just look at something your competition is doing and start by copying that...then think how you can just make it so much better! If you ever have any specific questions just shoot me an email! TrafficBug@gmail.com I would be more than happy to walk you through the steps - TrafficBug
awesome, thanks TrafficBug! - Mitja MG
I am not part of 30DC+ but I have a partnership with 2 other guys, and we have just about created 2 products for the dating niche. PDF's and videos are the order of the day, and they are based on what has been selling well on clickbank. They will be on sale by mid April, I will keep you posted. Anyone else interested in a JV? preferably UK as it is where I am situated... but I'm open to suggestions... - san
Mitja, if you hang out in forums in your niche, take note of some of the questions that keep being repeated in the posts. Then create a product with the answer to that question and you are good to go;)).All thats left to do after is put your product link in your forum signature, and give great advice out when you see related posts. cha ching!!:). - Elliot Webb
thanks for thins great comments. Well I still don't know what is my niche so far, still researching or smth - Mitja MG

Question: What is a good price to charge for a single text link ad inside one of my blog posts? Talking about 100+ unique visitors exposure p/day
Wow, is that next to impossible to answer. We'd have to know your niche, the value of products that can be sold, etc. Have you proven your blog to be able to produce sales? How much is your CTR to a product you promote? How much is the conversion if they click through? All of those types of questions are going to determine the value of the link, not just the fact that there are 100... more... - Barry Unruh
Sales are OK, 10%CTR, $50-$500 product range. It's a good niche I guess ;) - Jorge Blanco
Links are sold based on PR mostly. Thats the main criterion for link sales sites like Teliad, linkworth, text-link-ads etc. - TrafficBug
The higher the PR, the higher the link price per month - TrafficBug
how about on pages with pr 1, 2 n 3? - Jorge Blanco
Depends on your niche AND the PR. To get an idea, get a free account at sites like Teliad where you can see the PR for your niche sites and what they are charging at the moment - TrafficBug
As much as they'll give you! ;) Question - what is the difference between a paid link and an ad? I was watching some Google guy over on YouTube and he mentioned paid links will get you banned. What's the difference? I'm assuming that's ads are obviously ads and paid links are presented more just as hey this is a cool site sorta thing? - DaleK
Paid links are links to your site you paid for, made to look as original links. But yes, the difference between ads and paid links is fuzzy. I'm guessing it's meant for those who use such services, not the links themselves. (if that makes any sense) - Jorge Blanco
steven
Does it make any difference with google if your backlinks are coming from lots of different sites or the same amount from 2 or 3 forums?? All niche related and if all were 0 page rank.
I'm not an expert, but I think you'll be much better off with more sites. Plus the bigger advantage, eyeballs... More people will see your backlinks if they are in more sites. Use Market Samurai's Promotion module and find relevant blogs, web 2.0 sites, and forums. This topic was just covered in depth by Bob, Caro, and Ed in the Thirty Day Challenge Plus, excellent info.. - Barry Unruh
It's more complex than that. The concept of "trustrank" is being developed by search engines as an alternative to simple "link". What is trust ? It's a link that come from an established domain, with a certain relevancy and pertinence. So to speak, a well formed link from a Travel Blog, is going to be valuable for your site about travel coupons. It's not so effective for your car accessories site. - gareth【ツ】
Thanks, it was more of a curiosity question than anything, I am not having trouble finding sites as there are MANY in my blog niche, I always come across them even when I'm not looking and I only use well established relevant sites. In a couple of REALLY useful busy forums which allow live links in your sig - there are a fair few regulars who have thousands of posts and I was planning on using them a lot from now on! - steven
Well, if the a) signature link is without rel=nofollow and b) the forum is crawled by spiders and c) you are providing relevant contributions, it should work :) - gareth【ツ】

I am almost complete with a foreign language educational series that I want to produce. I would like to utilize the same format that is use for the 30 DC +. For anyone who knows how to use Camtasia or Screenflow can you tell me what settings I need to use to create Quick Time movie format that can play in Real Player format. - Frank Dobner
Since you have Camtasia for the post I will assume you are using a PC and Camtasia. Ed uses Screenflow which is for a Mac. I am now using Camtasia 6 (had 4 and 5) After you create your video, you then need to take it to edit. In edit at the lower left sidebar under Produce, click *Produce video as* You may have to then click custom settings and then you will have all the different formats to chose from.mp4,mv4,ipod,real,mov,wmv,swf,avi,ect.Pick one.continue on an your video will be rendered in that format - Colossal Marketing™
Thanks Ron@ColossalMarketing. When producing the video as done in 30DC, do you think that a "You Tube-like" size is used? Also I rendered in Real Player format (.mov format) because I want to capture as many users with a free player compatible production. What format would you recommend to capture the greatest user population for both a downloaded product as well as physically distributed CD's? - Frank Dobner
If your physically distributed CD is going to be a video only, then you may want to put it into a DVD format that will play in a standard DVD Player. - Barry Unruh

Three Separate Domains, or Just One? If you have three niches that are closely related, will it be more effective for SEO to use one domain so that your backlinks will accumulate on one site rather than be spread between three?
Each niche has it's own affiliate product and bonus report, however, so I'm not sure if I'd need three opt-in's on the home page, one for each in a static area above the main post area. Please tell me what you think... Thanks. - California Jerry
no...go three separate domains as each should be targeting a different keyword in the url - Allison
I think Sean means 3 different hosting companies, so they are on separate IP addresses. Also, keep in mind, if they are related sites, you can also share the love between your 3 sites by commenting about your other sites in your posts. Get some inter-family love going.. - Barry Unruh
Depending, but 3 opt-ins/products on one page might confuse people and sounds like an administrative nightmare. To start, you could optimize/promote one keyword/product on the website, promote the others via mailing list or as an upsell, get one keyword ranking then split them up to different domains later. I'd focus on ranking one domain/keyword at a time! - DaleK
And.... if you plan on building 3 domains and interlinking them my understanding is that is bad for seo unless you put them on different hosts. http://www.seohosting.com/ - DaleK
Would it be a good idea to use sub-domains? - Art Y.
Thanks for the comments. The keyword only needs to be in the Permalink, not the root, I would think. Except for Adwords where character length is limited. Bookmarking is done for the inner pages, not home page.Yes? Three opt-in's would be a potential problem. I was not planning on inter-linking, but some reference links may be appropriate, as Barry suggests. Regarding Sub-domains, Google treats them as totally separate domains, so that would also be considered inter-linking.. - California Jerry
One concept I'm toying with is wordpress categories as subdomains - and then interlink the content. Each subdomain to have it's own template, so 3 opt-in lists are possible. Still on the drawing boards... - Robert Worstell

I was reading this GH letter, which says good storytelling is paramount to persuasion and selling. A great example of this is the Mass Control sales pitch. There was the 13-year old boy story, surfboard addict story, ripped pants story, Randy's old ladies story... - http://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com/newslet...
... Tony Robbins guitar present, etc. Very interesting. - Tim Brennan
Thanks for the link, great article. - Barry Unruh

Yes, that's true. That's why you see so many videos with a girl in a bikini, that have nothing to do with girls in bikini's. Not that I'd be looking of course. - Barry Unruh

YouTube Now Mutes Videos With Unauthorized Copyrighted Music - http://mashable.com/2009...
Bummer...Looks like we'll have to become musicians to have background music for those videos :-0 - Ron"micronet"Harwood
I'm pretty good on the triangle if anyone wants to form a band. - Groobers
Wow... Does anyone here use copyrighted music for your videos? I've never dared to try for fear of get a law suit... :S - Art Y.
Don't worry about it Art so far my attempts at video are all just me practicing talking to camera, no music, just my dulcet tones, which are to be quite honest absolutely hopeless, but are providing me and my husband with a good laugh, but if I keep practicing sods law I must get better (well thats the theory anyway). - Groobers
Surely they can't enforce that. People will just upload it again and again - Tim Brennan
I've been using some Creative Commons music from Jamendo with my videos. I just make sure I've checked the license, and credit the appropriate person in my notes. That's a quick, legal, free, and easy way to take care of this issue. - Barry Unruh
@ Tim I would say they have something that will enforce it. Its Google remember :) - Ron"micronet"Harwood

30DC+ we will do also Audio Products if I understood right. Are this mean like songs?
Not wanting to guess what Ed has up his sleeve, but one item he has already mentioned for audio is doing interviews, using Skype. - Barry Unruh
Yes you have to sing meatloaf tunes;)) - Elliot Webb
funny you should mention singing - it's more info products but there is a BIG lesson to be learned from teenage girls singing..... - Ed Dale
Really?;)) - Elliot Webb
Jake, Elwood ... "I'm putting the band back together." Since the Blues Brothers is taken ... what should we call ourself? My vote ... Ed Dale & The Cash Converters (possible sponsorship deal there) - micmol

30DC blog topic - Option #3 I know it is a bit high with SEOC but there doesn't seem to be alot of SEO. #1 and #2 are big companies. #3 is a news article, #4+ are related products but not the same one as I'm looking at - no competition product-wise. I think it looks worth trying - any comments please?

Take pity on eyewear users! Can we make this bigger lol ? Did u look at domain links too? - Inspired Writing Research
Hi Kara, how did you put that in here? - Frank Donnelly
http://www.flickr.com/photos... is the flickr link for better viewing :-) - Kara
Frank - I first pulled up the SEO Competition with Market Samurai. I clipped the results using SnagIt and pasted that into Word. I then added the text above and clipped everything using SnagIt and saved it as a .jpg - I also posted it in Flickr. Not too bad for my first time! - Kara
Domain links - if I understand you I mentioned what they were above. - Kara
I have to be frank and say that I really don't like the look of this. Those backlinks at #7...! And it's way over the 30dc SEOC limit, which makes it even harder. And the click-thru rate doesn't look great... It's really not what you're looking for if you're doing it the 30dc way. - Isha (Marysia)
s thomas, if you click on it you see a bigger version. - Isha (Marysia)
No, meant domain links linking to the sites in the green and pink table...... wondered if they had been taken into consideration during the decision? - Inspired Writing Research
IIRC, domain links are much less important than page links . . . - LJF Wolffe
Kara, you might like to look at this: http://www.wordpressdirect.com/ote2con... The interesting bit for you starts just over 4 1/2 minutes into the first video. It's from the recent Over the Edge conference - these are experienced IMers talking with Marty of WDP. - Isha (Marysia)
The competition in this niche looks pretty stiff - remember Google likes old domains, and you have some that are 10 years old here. But you might want to try adding a word or two to your phrase to look for something a little more "long tail." - Tom Landini
This one does look pretty tough, if you look at the chart you'll see either they are heavily optimized (items 3-5), or they have a bunch BLP (back links to page), plus you have some higher numbers on Domain Age, and some higher numbers on Page Rank. You probably want to dig a little deeper into the niche, like Tom recommended. - Barry Unruh
