My Biggest Tip: Kick your legs hard the last 20-30 meters of your swim. ALL the blood will be in your arms and if you try to stand up coming into the bike transition, you will have a massive head spin. Kicking your legs hard will get the heart distributing the blood more evenly and it won't be so much of a massive load to shift. I speak from "falling over while trying to put my shoes on" experience :)

Johnny - Thanks. I usually "kick like hell: the last bit to make the ordeal end anyway. Good advice though.

delightful Helen - A sprint tri is (I believe) half of an Olympic distance. We swim 800 meters, bike 12.5 miles, and run a 5K. I've done 5 in the last 2 years. Don't ask me why because it hurts a lot.
