Officially throwing in the towel & looking up prices for Canon 50D vs. Canon T1i. Leave thoughts here to help me decide.

Tti all the way. I returned my xti so I could get the tti when it comes out. Isn't the tti just a 50d with more features and a slower fps?

Adam - it very well might be. But what I'm coming up across is that with the recent Canon rebate, it applies to the 50d but not the T1i (since it just came out this month). The body for the T1i comes to around $850 so there's a small price issue for me.

It's become apparent that the T1i is a great camera but I'd need to wait until an undetermined date in May to get a new camera w/o the lens.

The 50D is a great camera and will serve you for a long time to come. The T1i is a stater camera.
