Noah, it's an image bookmarking service. The only way to get in on it is to be invited and each person gets one invite to pass on.
- Andrew Trinh
Is the chain still going? Because I would love to join the chain...
- Evan Snyder
Hi, I'm from Brazil and I have great photos to post. I need a ffffound invitation! hi.fliper@gmail.com fe.--@hotmail.com
- felipe rocha
-Hello everybody- I'd like to get one invitation to ffffound.com my emailadress: reply (at) home.nl Thanx for the support, Keep up the good works :)
- Reply
Dude, do you see the link up there? If you're going to ask for something, you may want to follow directions or you'll get ignored. Just saying.
- Mona Nomura
I will definitely invite others in the chain as soon as I get invited!!! chuckod@gmail.com
- Charles
im looking for an invitation for really long. the one who invites me also gets one invitation code back. reply to fs-fill@gmx.de please
- Filip Sokolowski
i'd be really happy if i could let the chain go on reply to fs-fill [at] gmx [dot] de
- Filip Sokolowski
looking for an invitation too! any help would be welcome pvonier@gmail.com
- Pascale
did any of the invites make it yet? they have a really funky invite interface and it is kind of making it seem like I can only invite contacts from services I have ported into inbox2 which will annoy me if its the case
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
grrrr they have the worst invite functionality - so sorry for the delay all - lemme figure out how the hell to send these out
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Sorry gang. I tried twice. If it were just me with the problem, I'd say it was user error...but it appears as if Marco is having issues as well. Their invite setup stinks.
- eEditor
filled out a feedback form - will see if I get a response (it appears to be a simple send a message form vs something more robust and helpful like Get Satisfaction: strike 2 for them)
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Hi there, actually we are also using http://features.inbox2.com/ :-) We'll be moving to something more suited along the way, the feedback form gets the job done for now. But anyways, you can also send invites to people using their email address (they don't have to be in your Inbox2 contact list). I'll bring the "sucks" advice to the attention of our UI designers. @aureliusmaximus I'll look into why your invites are not arriving.
- Waseem Sadiq
Waseem: Would really welcome an invite as people have tried sending one to me but I am yet to receive one. Could you help with that: rohitsonika (at) gmail dot com. Thanks!
- Rohit
Thanks so much Waseem - it tells me to put in the email address, i type it in, it says its searching and doesn't find the contact (but the email address I type is still there), I click the Send Invite button and...nothing. No error message, no message sent notification, no invite cannot be sent - nuthin.
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
anybody receive invites yet? if not i will try again to see if they fixed it
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Marco: Haven't had one yet. You could try rohitsonika(at)gmail.com Thanks!
- Rohit
Hi guys here is an invite code for you, use this link http://www.inbox2.com/account... (limited availability). I would love to hear your opinion on the Inbox2 beta, regardless of whether you love it, hate it or don't care :-) DM me, twitter me @waseemsadiq or send me an email waseem at inbox2.com, Thx for your patience!
- Waseem Sadiq
Waseem: Thanks for the invite! It is finally working.
- Rohit
When link does not work, just type friendfeedlove as Invite Code
- Robert
from email
plz send me one to monser#gmail.com tnx u !!
- Sergey
Hello, is there one more invite? hmnunes(at)gmail.com Thx
- HN
Sergey and HN - they have been sent - anyone else see Waseem's comment above for invite code - thanks for your help waseem and thanks to everyone else for being patient!
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Gee..just what I was looking for! Thanks a lot :)
- Rohit
lol this has to qualify by the longest process from invite request to receipt in FriendFeed history - thanks for helping out Waseem - anyone else who is looking for an invite expand the comments and see Waseem's comment highlighting a special FriendFeed invite code
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
yeah, it'd be a great idea - the first problem is there's always an asshole who'll break the chain rather than contribute. The second issue is there's no-one who has a FFFFOUND! invite ATM.
- maed
please invite me also | manishkhatri4u at gmail.com
- Manish Khatri
yes, im on it! tommarques (at) gmail (dot) com
- Tom Marques
its like the hardest invite to get ever!!! I had one about a year ago but that lasted like 3 seconds :) not sure why they dont release more.
- (jeff)isageek
mee too please: ignantblog@gmail.com
- Ignant Blog
Yea, I've just about given up on getting one, but I'm all for hope chains! louis [at] omgirock.com
- Louis P.
from twhirl
not one person is gonna get a invite.... here what you could do to help your chances; start a tumblr or something similar and start collecting/posting pics. If your collection is awesome enough i bet you get a invite. Now I do not know this to be fact but it couldn't hurt.....
- Brian Moore
would like to be invited and to share. tnx comunic at hotmail.com
- lerra
I still hate Digsby's new twitter. I disconnected it when they launched
- Lindsey is Fierce!
I do too, but I like having everything in one place and Digsby does that for me, so it will have to do
- Shevonne
Digsby has the one feature I haven't found anywhere else. Any tweets from a person put into a group won't show up in the main timeline. I can't get TweetDeck or Seesmic to do that.
- Brian
andrew at leahey.org, if possible. thanks!
- Andrew Leahey
Actually I see that I'm 4th, sorry. No worries Arnaldo!
- Andrew Leahey
Sorry guys, I didn't see the comments here before. Amir Gharaat: do you still need one invite?
- Arnaldo M Pereira
Andrew Leahey: I'll send you the last one if Amir already got it. It seems that Lazyfeed are giving many invites away tho, so you should ask them on twitter if you don't get one from me or other source.
- Arnaldo M Pereira
if you still got one please send it to theneoindian@gmail.com
- Sree Hari
Sorry, the last one was gone 10 minutes ago. Follow @LazyFeed on twitter and ask for it, they should probably send you one.
- Arnaldo M Pereira
A site that does search and aggregation of specific topics, so the user might read it in one feed. Louis Gray has written about it and even made a video: http://www.louisgray.com/live...
- Arnaldo M Pereira
I prefer VLC, although I've found playback of videos across a local network to be buggy in recent versions. But VLC makes up for it by playing any format I throw at it.
- Jason Huebel
Invite sent to Thomas, Steve, Tyler, and Anna. "An error occured, please contact support" when I tried to invite Mehdi and Brad. I don't know why.
- LouCypher
if everyone that received an invite gets their own invites, and would like to share, I'd love one, and will share mine with others here. shaun76 at gmail dot com
- shaun mclane
Huh. Weird. Could you try sending it to brijesh.mansi@gmail.com? Thanks.
- Mansi Bhatia
hey, when the cloud is blown away, what happens then ? Bigger Mem on handheld devices is a neccesity !
- Peter Dawson
I'm looking for more space on my BlackBerry for a bunch of reasons -- if I'm roaming I don't want to pay data roaming fees. Also it's nice to be able to carry around and save large documents. 32G might be excessive but why stream my music collection when I already have it and can just toss it on flash. Of course it's helps that the BB is userupgradable with a swappable uSDHC card ;)
- matthew john ernisse
Apparently I only have 780MB left on my 16GB iPhone so I guess I do.
- ronin
Trust me, I am struggling with 16GB. I tyr to keep some movies on mine. I have a large library of music. Podcasts up to my neck. My headphones rarely come off of my ears. So yeah, 32 GB is a big seal for me.
- Darrell Bell
from twhirl
With 30fps video and movie purchases on the phone, that storage might get eaten up fast.
- Alan
I definitely feel the limitation with 8GB, as I have a ton of music (about 150GB). With 32GB I can probably sync ALL of my 4-5 star tracks, so it's a fairly big deal for me.
- Jamie
When I can get 3G everywhere I go then cloud computing becomes an alternative
- Brian
all I can say is Kudos to Apple's branding/PR/marketing people for selling whatever Apple 'invent' to their dazzled/waiting fans. That's the success of branding! :)
- Moushumi Kabir
I'll most likely get the 16gb and then just upgrade my iPod (or is it downgrade?) from a 30gb video to a 120gb 3rd gen. I have a cubic shit-ton of MP3's, so even a 32gb iPhone won't do anything for me. I imagine that if I were to stock more movies or videos, it would be a big deal.
- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
Mona, I have a 32GB iPod Touch, and it's a challenge to keep from filling it up. I watch and listen to lots of podcasts.
- ha3rvey, not a sweetheart
Like in a house--you tend to fill-up whatever space you have available.
- Rob Michael (Atmos Trio)
I don't get it either. If everything goes to Hulu or Netflix or xyz service, the storage issue becomes moot. If I'm out of coverage, i.e. on a plane, I'll bring a Touch or ZuneHD.
- EricG
@EricG I don't really like carrying a ton of crap on me, I didn't buy a $400 device to have to buy a bunch others to lug around. I imagine that's why phones these days do all this crap -- most people feel the same way. Of course if Apple supported uSDHC or something the point would be moot, you buy the device and then however much memory you need ;)
- matthew john ernisse
I'd rather have my phone with a lot of storage, so I don't have to carry an additional MP3 player and an additional video player. Just roll it all into one and then I just have one gadget to worry about. Downside is, that's just one gadget that has to handle all of that and it will run down the battery faster, plus if it breaks you're SOL for 3 different types of use.
- Bradley Farless
when mobile networks can be there 100% of the time maybe, until then local storage will win every damn time. Tell me, do you get 3G access every time you try to access something? And how much worse will that access be when everyone is streaming their video and audio across it?
- alphaxion
I couldn't resist anymore, me wants one, too, please :) ozkan [ -@- ] portakal [dot] net
- Ozkan Altuner
whys everyone putting their email? not like there's a chain going on or OP got an invite.
- mojo
oh wow! do u have any invites left? been trying to get one for ages!!!! mohsinali [at] gmail.com :)
- Mohsin
i think the best way to get an invite would be to create a blog and start posting pictures you have found on the internet. Then sit back and wait for ffffound to come to you with a invite.
- Brian Moore
Even with a beard that has a white stripe through it, I still look a bit younger than I am. Note that I use a 10-year-old photo as my avatar, so I don't look quite *that* young anymore.
- Michael R. Bernstein
I think so. Growing up, I always looked older than I was... now I think I've caught up. Not a good thing, I guess. :)
- Jen (SquirrelGirl)
People tell me that I don't. I know people who think they look younger but they usually look older than they are. I mean are you going to tell a 33 yo that s/he looks 45? These white lies reinforce to peopl that they look younger than they are.
- Admiral Anika
from fftogo
It depends on the day of the week. Feel old Mondays, and keep getting younger as the week progresses :)
- Baard @ Pixum
excuse me while I up-vote Anika's comment by 100...
- vijay
I don't think so, but I guess someone else would have to be the judge of that :)
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
I think I look my age, but someone else should affirm that. I've always wanted to look older than I am.
- Parth Awasthi
I was actually told by an ex-co-worker (on a really bad day HE was having) that I looked about 50; but there are days where I still get carded by 20-somethings at my local Raley's when I buy alcohol. In general, though, what Anika said. To tell someone they look older than they are would be considered an insult to many. Or maybe it's a wake up call.
- Helen Sventitsky
heard I don't look my age but guess that's a matter of opinion, but I feel my age.
- YoYo_P
Considering I get carded all the time (and they always CAREFULLY check) and have random strangers think I'm 22-ish, I'd say yes, I look younger (I'm 29).
- Lis Miller
I look a little younger but not a lot younger.
- Anthony Citrano
I sometimes get asked if I am on break or have a 'free period' from the local high school when I'm out getting coffee or lunch during the day (and oh how I love that), but I tend to think that I look my age or older.
- joey
No idea but the wife looks way younger than hers and that's all that matters. :)
- Steve C
I don't. Being Asian has nothing to do with it! I'm a Toys 'R Us kid.
- Arlan Koizumi
I look 10-15 years younger than my age, depending on who is looking. this woman asked me one day what *grade* I was in. my joke is that I have looked 16 for the past 21 years.
- tiffany
Two things are happening here. 1)We all look younger than our parents at these ages due to health advances and cosmetics. 2)Everyone knows about age vanity and as a result feeds us a line on this topic when it comes up. But I do look 7-10 years younger than I am. Everybody tells me that.
- Gregg Scott
When I was 28 and graduating from college (finally) my neighbors thought I was 18 and graduating from High School. But, when I hit 31 and had my second child and started to lose my hair I think I caught up.
- Bill Rawlinson
Not for me. I've set up a few private groups here on FF and bring in the RSS feeds of some of my favorite blogs. Keeps me from having to jump between here and google reader.
- Sharon McPherson
RSS and Atom reading died before they even went mainstream, RSS and Atom are now used as API by folks integrating information systems like FF. The names probably helped kill them. RSS sounded like something suspiciously sinister and Atom sounded like something cheekily commercial,
- Tweet Feeds
I don't think RSS Reading is dead just yet. Infact FriendFeed is a form of RSS reading ;)
- Nicholas James
I think we need a less sensationalist way to say 'people are moving away from this technology' than 'dead'.
- Ryan Dadey
What's interesting is that for a lot of the non-tech populace (or non-hanging-out-on-the-internet-all-the-time populace), RSS hasn't been alive yet. I can't even get my Dad to use RSS consistently, and he's a software developer, for crying out loud. He liked it when I set up my blog to send him emails when I post. From my perspective, I'm relying less on GReader than I used to, because I see a lot of stuff on FF first.
- Jandy, ConcertMaven of FF
I'm still a Google Reader addict - as a matter of fact, I recently started using it to read Google Alerts and Twitter searches.
- Mitch Wagner
RSS is getting more and more important, but dedicated RSS readers are losing importance. I recently realized that the last day I checked my Google Reader was the day I joined FriendFeed. FF is a bunch of feeds, but it is filtered by humans, and I filtered those humans myself by deciding who to subscribe to. And what do those people do? They import RSS feeds.
- Bora Zivkovic
rss reading specifically, probably yes its days are numbered, but rss transport - leveraging for content syndication and distribution absolutely not, in fact it's becoming more and more important
- mike "glemak" dunn
No. I still get all my news from my RSS feeds. I only check FF when I have caught up on everything else.
- Brian
Was it ever really mainstream? I don't really think that the feed will die. Google reader and bloglines etc... May start to get less use.
- Mark Chandler
RSS was never mainstream, but those who 'get it' tend to find it indispensable. There is room for improvement in the readers - e.g. better heuristics, better ways to manage, rank and present hundreds of feeds. Definite business opportunity there.
- Anthony
Nope, I use it regularly and cannot see that changing. How could I live without GReader? ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Nope, though it never caught on as much as many believed.
- Amit Morson
I still don't quite understand why it *didn't* become mainstream. To me, it just seems so useful.
- Mitch Wagner
I am looking for a Twitter client that has group support which most do. Here is the rub. I want the tweets from each group I make to only show up in that group and not also in my main feed. I've looked at TweetDeck and the latest Seesmic Desktop and neither seem to support this (correct me if I am wrong. Does anyone know of a client that does this?
