@mtrier BTW, I could've sworn someone had made a taglib for Django that let you use WebHelpers in the templates.
@mtrier That post about blogs is sad, but its hard to really disagree. It's tough nowadays to see through all the BS out there.
@mtrier using minimal webhelpers is the most I can deal with
@jacobian Google's been evil for awhile now. Just look at the Book Settlement they're trying to get for themselves.
@cleverdevil I wish the job thing was cheery, they just cherry picked stats. http://www.calculatedriskblog.com/2009... http://www.calculatedriskblog.com/2009...
@mtrier maybe some app you authed to with Twitter oauth got compromised?
Lala.com just replaced iTunes music store as the place I go to check out new music before buying, but heck, what an awesome service.
@abdelazer You personally hunted a wild turkey in the hills within 5 miles of your home?
@abdelazer No idea, but I figured its provenance might be more impressive? ;)
Now this is the kind of govt spending I can really get behind, too bad we gave the banks 100x as much. :( http://www.ritholtz.com/blog...
Don't all these django-* packages dillute the trademark status of Django? Just like iPod things can't contain 'ipod' in the name?
George Foreman hamburger was utter fail next to the delicious burgers off the Traeger grill. Damn freezing temps.... sigh.
An interesting look at GMO crops beyond just their yield possibilities with regards to world hunger, http://civileats.com/2009...
@carljm You think? I would've assumed since the regexp is implemented in C code it'd be faster than looping in Python code.
@cmr1975 URL matching to handlers.
Python regexp only supports 100 named groups in a regexp?? Weak!
@carljm Trying to make a massive regexp to be able to determine if Routes can match a URL in one pass.
@simonw 8-core Mac Pro with Radeon 4870 card can't play it either. I think we've hit a Flash limitation on HD video or something.
@etrepum Woah, Röyksopp is awesome. Never heard of them before.
Oh My. I forgot how amazingly awesome Ren & Stimpy is.
@mtrier Surely you wouldn't tell him to dump all his shit in the toilet that he wants to get rid of? ;)
@cleverdevil You store your gigabytes of music in the cloud? Your gigabytes of RAW photos?
@etrepum Or why doesn't Trac poll/push updates so I can see changes on a ticket in real-time while I'm viewing it?
@cleverdevil All your data belongs to Google!!
@etrepum It's lack of modern AJAX helpers seem crippling. Why can't I change the type/severity/component from the milestone view? etc.
Sigh, that does it, I'll have to build my own Trac, I can't handle this slowness and lack of modern web features.
@brettsky I'm to the point where I think I can build my own that does just what I want, and serves every page in < 250ms (including render).
@psnively I'd love to see a 'subsidizing watch' that lets us see who the taxpayers are subsidizing and vote on it. :)
@ericflo Coffee shop Internet went out? Oops, too bad, no more working on your presentation! Wireless Internet needs to be way more reliable
@ericflo The biggest issue will be getting reliable broadband wireless Internet... everywhere... always. Otherwise Chrome OS will suck.
