"Goldfinger: Bond sits around the villain's chateau for nearly the whole movie, drinking and flirting. The villain has a chance to kill Bond, but doesn't. The villain explains his whole plan in front of Bond, for whatever reason. Then Bond does nothing to prevent the plan from going through. It's a string of bad decisions, but the movie is still really good."

"I'm from Michigan, it's not the unions fault things are so bad here. If they are at fault, if matters very little in the overall equation of unemployment here. The main problems, as I see it, are the notoriously corrupt government officials in Detroit, mixed with the fact that there is no major business here except a failing and dying auto industry. And, I think the no-jobs-but-auto-jobs is the main problem. There really isn't anything here, other than the branded crap everywhere else (ie McDonalds, Walmart, etc.), and the handful of things not auto or branded crap are related to the auto industry. I've been trying to get a creative industry job, the only large places here are ad agencies, who all do business with auto companies. Believe me, I've looked for other stuff. I hound classifieds almost everyday, internet and other, and there is nothing here."

"I may not like the Patriot Act, but it seems like every time any Republican does anything, it feels like a "dick" move. Like, they can't grasp what the country wants anymore, so they're just going to throw tantrums hoping someone will listen to their ramblings. And, usually those ramblings involve words like "freedom", "communist", "communism", "government take over", "not what 'real' Americans want", etc. It's something like 65% of Americans want a public-option, it's a definite majority, yet they can't seem to get out of the minority crowds that are paranoid about anything the government does (regardless of what the issue is). They just can't let go of the base."

"I'm college educated, I apply to as many jobs as I can, which can be anywhere from 1-10 every other day, I apply to corporate, small business, freelance, part-time, full-time, temporary, and even paid internships. I've been doing this for months. There. Are. No. Jobs. Here. It's a bad/sick joke. And, the worst part, the very worst part, nobody cares. Not nobody, not nohow. The next worst thing is that there are people raving about how great the economy is doing and how everything is turning around when it hasn't. Everything has stagnated. It's like getting dirt kicked in your eyes when you're already down. The reason for this, is easy to see, corporations/companies only adhere to the dollar. If the people in charge of these places actually gave a damn, then they'd tighten their belts, keep as many employees as possible, and hire new blood to keep things moving. But they just don't care. They fire everyone to make the bottom line look good to either stock holders or board members or..."
