A major problem for adaption of FF or Chrome in the enterprise may be the fact that most IT users don't have the option to install new applications on their desktops themselves and have to use whatever the corporate standard is, which is unfortunately IE. I suspect this is primary reason why awful IE v6 still has high share as well.
It is true that many critical enterprise web apps require ActiveX and hence need IE, but this problem may be easier to solve. Given that Chrome is open source, someone can the necessary IE components within Chrome to work with pages that require ActiveX. I think Netscape has done something like this combining FF with IE engine. - berkay via FriendFeed MT Plugin

This seems totally unnecessary/inappropriate. The services as Google refers to have their own Terms of Services which one has to agree to use them regardless of which browser they will use the services with. Why do it again in this browser. As others said, other browsers don't need this so hard to justify why Google needs it. My guess is that by services they refer to browser specific services like searching from the url bar etc. that is tied to google, if so, it should be a lot more restricted.
Also, I find the "open source" part a bit confusing. What is open source and what is not? Is the whole browser code available as open source, or is it just components? What would it take to build an alternative binary without all this nonsense introduced with the ToS? - berkay via FriendFeed MT Plugin
So here's the deal. Let's say you're an open source company, and you're trying to figure out how to sell yourself to me in the Money (rather than the "hey, Kirk, try out Technology X") way. What you have to do is give me something tangible iff I give you money. It's just that simple. Split licensing doesn't work for us (and don't give me any crap about how there are multiple companies in any financial services organization and tech crossing financial boundaries and blah blah blah; it gets old for anything other than the most insane organizations). Support doesn't work for us. - berkay
it uses an in-memory instance of ActiveMQ (so there’s no extra step of starting an external server) and configures a single queue, plus a single listener and a simple Controller method to send test messages. It doesn’t use the JMS plugin, but Spring’s excellent JmsTemplate makes sending message trivial. - berkay
The need for a distributed and optimized virtual network is an important aspect in any multi-cloud deployment. One potential direction could be to explore the use of VPN or VDE technologies. My preference would be to use VDE, (Virtual Distributed Ethernet). A quick refresher, a VPN is a way to connect one or more remote computers to a protected network, generally tunnelling the traffic through another network. VDE implements a virtual ethernet in all its aspects, virtual switches, virtual cables. A VDE can also be used to create a VPN. VDE interconnects real computers running (through a tap interface), virtual machines as well as the other networking interfaces through a common open framework. VDE supports heterogeneous virtual machines running on different hosting computers and could be the ideal starting point. Network shaping and optimization may also play an important role in the ability to bridge two or cloud resources. - berkay

RapidInsight is an integration and automation solution for operations management, and typically used to integrate data from disparate management systems and present to users through a simple, unified, consistent web based user interface. In today's organizations, managing the IT infrastructure is a complex undertaking. Most organizations use number of tools for different management disciplines and for different technologies, yet the need to manage the infrastructure holistically is apparent. RapidInsight provides capabilities to consolidate data from disparate systems and make it available to users through simple, consistent easy to use web based interface to faciliate management processes. - berkay
