@karlfisch Very true... I listened to his book recently (the free version of course) and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the reminder.

@lyndons and how come so many "documentaries" on tv these days intersperse opinion grabs from comedians? They are experts why?
@bcdtech a document camera.
@wfryer incredible how storage prices have dropped. Just bought a 1.5TB external drive for $160. Thats about 10 cents per GB.

@taliacarbis does aperture use the same kind of single photo archive file that iPhoto uses? Or does it use loose files?
@taliacarbis Oh, Just discovered Lightroom's plugin architecture. Added Export to Flickr and Export to Gmail options. It's quite extensible
@taliacarbis I like that it just catalogs loose folders of photos. I find the hidden structure of iPhoto a bit limiting at times.
@taliacarbis So far I think it's very powerful. I haven't used Aperture so can't say, though I know it competes directly with Lightroom.
@jenwagner Well it was a pretty good party last night and the fireworks were wonderful http://qik.com/betchaboy Photos on Flickr soon.
Spending a lazy afternoon sorting about 20,000 digital photos after migrating my collection from iPhoto to Adobe Lightroom.
Qik streaming live from my phone right now. http://qik.com/video/4210058
On my way into the city with @abroadabroadeh to see the fireworks for NYE. Watching from a friends place at McMahons Point. Epic view.

@henriettaMi holy crapola! So much for that idea. Thanks for the heads up.
anyone know if the water taxis still operate on Sydney Harbour on NYE? How hard is it to get one? Can you book in advance?
I can't remember the last time I watched a screencast video that was not made on a Mac.
@natalietran Watching the fireworks from a friends place in McMahons Point. Best seat in town!
@aenclade Sure, but my point is that it's not as cut and dried as youth=native, older=immigrant. Age is only a part of it, if at all.
@jennalanger ah. That explains it! Have a great trip! How long are you gone?
@abroadabroadeh @trib I'd be just a little more patient before I jump on the kindle. Think Apple might have some surprises in store.
@jennalanger how did you get access to GV in Australia? I thought it only worked in the US?
@Lofts1964 time to move to Tweetie 2? Have to say, it's the best iPhone app for Twitter and a long way in front of whatever comes second.
@intrepidteacher dude, it's a hard life but I guess somebody has to do it.
@aenclade immigrants and natives. Pfft! What a load of nonsense.
