Meanwhile, although I don't personally care for or about Tori Spelling, I was all grins watching Adam's response to the situation. You know Grodner arranged that specifically. The coincidence is too much to bear otherwise.

I actually like the new Rachel. I'm not sure what happened but her reeling it in after the bush tantrum has probably been her best game play move.

I'm even more convinced that the producers are in significant control of the shape of the game. They're setting it up so that Rachel has the greatest chance to win, with timing of competitions continuing to save Jordan (who will not win the final HoH, but has an outside shot to win again).

It's certain they influence the game; I mean, they choose the cast based on prefigured roles. But the type of competitions almost always come in waves. Given the current demographics of the house, and how the game is over seven weeks in, it would be difficult for most of the house to not notice. Over a long enough period of time, things start to... well... align.

I hate to admit it but I've actually been rather impressed with how Rachel's handled situations in which she would have last year melted down melodramatically. Of course, we only see what CBS wants us to see and the live feeds almost always reveal a remarkably different story. However, taking it solely as a network broadcast consumer, she's been keeping it together. For now.
