Cleaning up Constellation. Do I really need 3 spare stanchions? Or a rusty can of olives from Spain? Jack (the filmmaker) arrives tonight!
Hey Nick when you get time I'd really like to get all d details on importing Constellation to OZ ... I've got 2 do it in a year's time wif my OZ registered yot (was owned by US citizen b4) ... many thks .... don't sell her mate she's part of you!!!!!! - Ian Franklin
With great sadness and disappointment, my dear friend and confidant, 'Constellation' is for sale. Details are here: http://www.bigoceans.com/the-boa...
Hey Nick, That's really sad. I was hoping that you would sail her to Tassie and pay us a visit! There are a few of us yachties here who have been fascinated by your journey. I have friends who I have directed to your Blog site who want to sail the world and they too are intrigued by what you have done.. You are an inspiration but so is that little yacht and we would love to see her in the "flesh"! - patlee
WE CAN DO THIS, SAVE THE LITTLE BOAT! Nick and Constellation's story is our aspiration, let's chip in! $50 each and it only takes 40 of us, every little bit helps! - Weide
Mine is in, 39 more! - Weide
Mine too, so just 38 now. I have been following your progress since you left the UK. Don't sell the boat....I think you will regret it. - Tom Holmes
Me too We need 37 now! Pat - patlee

Thanks everyone for your support - I have the paperwork now, $2500 in taxes & fees! + Quarantine inspection (could be another $2k)...
Just interviewed by local newspaper & in the latest Lectronic Latitude http://www.latitude38.com/lectron...
New blogpost: We’re home at last. In 743 days. http://www.bigoceans.com/2009...
You know, after reading your latest post, I see you in a different light. I have only been following you for 2-3 weeks, but through your past writing I feel taken back to when you started. I think you are very brave. Event though I own a sailboat, I don't think I would ever attempt to do what you have done. Not because I couldn't, but because I'm afraid. Afraid of the not so calm days... more... - Jon Kukuk
Indeed, I would only dare to try what Nick's done if my boat's a submarine with masts... :) He's an inspiration, let's all help him out thru his paypal channel, every little bit counts! - Weide
Its a awesome effort in anyones book , more men have been in space , than have single handed around the world , which is pretty much what Nick has archived. On a shoe string budget he has sailed a very small boat through a lot of ocean to get her home. Its a epic achievement. Congratulations mate , as above , whats next??? :) - Tony White
Turns out I need to import my boat right now. Does anyone know a customs broker who does yachts? I can't leave till it's paid for... $2000+
Hi nick , Been following your adventure for a while now. Good on ya mate. - Tony White
Whats the $2000 for ??? - Tony White
Hey Tony - $2000 is the estimated duty payable on the boat, based on purchase price and other factors. I need to pay GST plus duty... - Nick Jaffe
that's outrageous, Paying gst on something you bought overseas and i thought if you lived on it for over 6 months , that didnt apply. - Tony White
I'm in. Through with customs and quarantine (at a cost of $330) and sitting at the visitors dock. Talk about an anticlimax.
Welcome home traveller. After all your travels and challenges anything normal would be an anticlimax! - patlee
I can see a mythical land. They call it Australia, and there it is. After 2yrs
Hahahhahah! Is that from the movie 'Austrailia?' Nice going, congrats! - Weide
Well done Nick. Just in time for the summer heat waves. Will be interested in hosting you on your "Speaking Tour" lol. - patlee

Crossed into Australian economic waters (EEZ). Preparing to get my ass kicked by the weather...
Yo Nick! EEZ's also full of ships to watch out? Take it easy since you're so close. - Weide
