Hey Nick, That's really sad. I was hoping that you would sail her to Tassie and pay us a visit! There are a few of us yachties here who have been fascinated by your journey. I have friends who I have directed to your Blog site who want to sail the world and they too are intrigued by what you have done.. You are an inspiration but so is that little yacht and we would love to see her in the "flesh"!

You know, after reading your latest post, I see you in a different light. I have only been following you for 2-3 weeks, but through your past writing I feel taken back to when you started. I think you are very brave. Event though I own a sailboat, I don't think I would ever attempt to do what you have done. Not because I couldn't, but because I'm afraid. Afraid of the not so calm days...

Its a awesome effort in anyones book , more men have been in space , than have single handed around the world , which is pretty much what Nick has archived. On a shoe string budget he has sailed a very small boat through a lot of ocean to get her home. Its a epic achievement. Congratulations mate , as above , whats next??? :)

Hey Tony - $2000 is the estimated duty payable on the boat, based on purchase price and other factors. I need to pay GST plus duty...

that's outrageous, Paying gst on something you bought overseas and i thought if you lived on it for over 6 months , that didnt apply.
