After reading Paul's post I was thinking about what would make FF better. One thing that bothers me is that since FF floats popular entries to the top, I always see the same few entries. A Gmail-like interface that lets me process 1000s of emails is drastic but could be considered. Other ideas?
Something that captures read state would be good... - Bindu Reddy
Bindu setting up lists helps there. I only keep a few people in my home feed - Deepak Singh
It should probably have a chronological list view with the ability to mark items as read. But isn't this what Google Reader is for? - Vishy
Show titles only option? Zippy to expand comments and likes? - EricaJoy
I thought the same thing as Vishy. The RSS is really good, they put some serious effort into it. Give it a shot in GReader, bet you'll like. - Christopher Galtenberg
Just remembered reading this http://friendfeed.com/e... . Maybe something to detect signal in the noise is already in the works.. - Vishy
Chris and Vishy, Using Google Reader would mean coming back to FF to comment on entries and such right? - Bindu Reddy
Bindu, yes but there is a direct link to comment in the feed; works fine in MobileSafari, not at all on a Blackberry (I blame the BB's poor browser). - Olivier Tharan
Seems like FF has done something to address this issue. Posts that get more than 2-3 likes don't seem to float up anymore? - Bindu Reddy
@Lindsey - I used to think that nesting would make stuff very complex but lately I have been seeing awfully long conversations where something like that could be useful - Bindu Reddy
