at the end of the day, the phrase "at the end of the day" needs to come to an end. TODAY. #GRR
Preferably before the end of the day. - John (bird whisperer)
makes me feel violent when someone says or types that. almost as bad as "going forward". as if reversing the flow of time was an option! - Joe Silence
when all is said and done...which is impossible because everyone keeps talking and no one is doing anything about it. - Greg GuitarBuster
yah, but that one pales in comparison. IMO, at least. - Joe Silence
So... I feel that starting any and every explanation or response with "so..." is HIGHLY DISTRACTING! And it is usually highly educated people on Science Friday who seem to do this. When they go into a job interview they probably begin with "So... I'm John Jacob Dingleheimer Schmidt..." - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
I hate the dangling so. When people are talking and their last word is ”so...”. I imagine that little word rattling around their empty brains, echoing. - Starmama from FFHound(roid)!
beginning your sentence with "So..." seems to be shorthand for "LISSEN UP, MUTHAFUKKAZ!!" - Joe Silence
Either that or "Let me see if I can dumb this down sufficiently for your small brain." - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
either way, it's the speaker spilling their bloated ego all over the room while simultaneously talking down to his/her audience. - Joe Silence
The good news it that I don't here the term "sea change" nearly as often as I did a few years ago. It's still out there, to be sure, but I only hear it a few times in a week, whereas 3 or 4 years ago it was multiple times per day (mostly in the mainstream media.) I guess that represents a sea change in the use and overuse of the term? - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
I'm okay with "Back home in Omaha" however. #Lifesavers™ - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
[Little known fact: If you rearrange the letters in "Back home in Omaha" you get "Barack Obama in 2012"...] #notreally #ifrepeatedoftenenoughitwillbetrue #GOPfeedthewealthymethod - Jkram|ɯɐɹʞſ
sea change reached its tipping point - Greg GuitarBuster
sea change is no longer on my list of deliverables, at least not on a go-forward basis. - Joe Silence
