"State Fish and Game officers were trying to collar a mountain lion that wandered into the courtyard of a Santa Monica office building early Tuesday, startling a janitor and prompting the closure of part of 2nd Street, police said. The animal, which appeared to be “a baby” weighing about 90 pounds, was reported to police at about 6 a.m., said Lt. Calisse Lindsey.
