So, other than whatbird.com, what are good resources for the just-starting-out birdwatcher?
I want to start birdwatching/bird-drawing. It took me weeks to satisfactorily ID a robin. Uh, clearly I need help. Thoughts?

One thing that is consistent about each application of the logo is that the "it's a person but also a budding plant!" is clear no matter who painted the thing. The typical "do not redraw" guidelines don't make sense for a mark like this and how it's used.
