I need your help... I am willing to admit that I am a packrat, from a long line of packrats that go back many generations. You could even say that under the right conditions, I could become a major league hoarder of epic proportions....I am cleaning the house and throwing away (or giving away) the junk. My goal is for my home to look "normal"....
Part of the problem with getting rid of everything is that I find it hard to throw away something that could be useful. I wouldn't have a problem with giving it away to anyone whose eyes light up at the sight of it, but can't bear to just toss it in the trash. I have a cabinet in the corner of my kitchen full of "craft supplies". Things I thought might be useful to turn into something. The cabinet hasn't been opened in years, due to the boxes and boxes of "craft supplies" that were surrounding it. Today I cleared a path to the cabinet by going through all those boxes and tossing out the obvious junk, I was left with a box worth that was genuine craft supplies. For the first time in almost 10 years, I was able to open that cabinet. Tossed out most of the stuff, consolidated or repackaged the rest to take up less space and now have a total of 2 boxes of real craft stuff. But of course there is a snag...I discovered a coffee can packed full of twistie ties. There is still something in me that says this stuff is useful for something and won't let me throw it away. But for the life of me I can not think of anything crafty that could use up that many twistie ties. The coffee can is crammed full of full strips of them in perfect brand new condition. Now here is where you come in. Either tell me what to turn them into, or convince me to toss them out! - April Russo
These twist ties have already stolen too much of your time... don't let them have more... throw them out. If you have a brilliant approach for groundbreaking work in the twist tie sculpture genre down the road... well... cross that bridge when you come to it. - SAM
Twist ties will come and go, now is time to let them go. Keep 10 emergency twist ties which i think you have more than covered it's okay to let the other go. - SteVe C
ok, twistie ties are in the trash, coffee can in the recycle bin. - April Russo
