Because I click a link to go somewhere else and read the content there. Making it redirect through your own site and stick a bar at the top (or bottom) is pushy. You're making the user take extra steps to remove your intrusive spam, and that's not a particularly good way to do things. - Otto

I use the other comments systems for twitter and facebook integration. I want the user to be able to 'login' to post a comment via twitter and/or facebook with the ability for the user to post the comment to their twitter or facebook profiles. - Jason Benway
