RT @InsideUSC "When USC went 0 for 10 on third-down conversions against Washington one argument given to me was that backup Aaron Corp played quarterback in that game. So what's the excuse now that the Trojans went 2 for 13 against Arizona State?" Umm... the Pac-10 is a war? http://www.insidesocal.com/usc...
Brendan thinks, all things considered, 4-1 is a pretty damn good record in the 5-game stretch USC just completed (@Cal, @ND, vs. Oregon State, @Oregon, @ASU). And yet this appears to be the worst Trojan team since 2001. And yet they're 3 home wins from a BCS bowl, and they'll be ranked in the #8-11 range tomorrow. I really don't know how to feel....
Brendan was, at one point this evening, watching USC-ASU on ESPN360 in one browser window, UConn-Cincinnati in another browser window, and the ObamaCare vote on C-SPAN on my TV.
Pac-10 "is unquestionably the nation's toughest, deepest conference this season (no offense, SEC apologists)." -@slmandel http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009...
Ouch! @slmandel: "Notre Dame...prides itself on tradition. Under Charlie Weis, the Irish have developed a new one: Losing at home to Navy." http://bit.ly/2G2x2g
If Texas loses a game, #2 BCS spot is between Cincinnati, TCU, Boise, GaTech, Florida-Alabama loser (rematch), one-loss Texas. I don't think Pitt, Iowa, or anyone else has a chance unless Florida or Alabama loses before SEC title game. Voters will set up SEC rematch before they vault one-loss BE or B10 champ into title game.
