It's actually kind of crazy how close this looks to the last few related Ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed of the most recent PoP, at least in the scenery and how the Prince moves.
- Rob H.
I like the golden flamey special effect when he is holding the dagger. Might actually be a film based on a game that is good.

"Against almost every expectation, nearly half of all people watching delayed shows are still slouching on their couches watching messages about movies, cars and beer. According to Nielsen, 46 percent of viewers 18 to 49 years old for all four networks taken together are watching the commercials during playback, up slightly from last year. Why would people pass on the opportunity to skip through to the next chunk of program content? The most basic reason, according to Brad Adgate, the senior vice president for research at Horizon Media, a media buying firm, is that the behavior that has underpinned television since its invention still persists to a larger degree than expected. “It’s still a passive activity,” he said."

wow, people *really* still watch commercials? I find this hard to believe.
- Thomas Hawk
Are people watching these are simply letting them pass over them and taking the opportunity to grab a drink or similar?
- Rob Brammeld
I zip through the commercials every time as I get very little time to sit and watch my favourite programmes as it is! If I need a drink or break that's what the pause button is for :)
- Russ G
I zip through the commercials myself, but also when the programme is one that I am not 100% into I will run it at up to 3x the normal speed until something that looks good comes on. =P
- Travis Koger
If a commercial is good enough I'll rewind and watch it again and again.
- teh Dork Knight
I'm still not sure why they aren't running towards online delivery. You can't skip the commercials. Isn't that what you want?
- Todd Hoff
Todd: I'm sure someone will then market a box that plays (and records) online shows, allowing you to bypass commercials.
- Steve Dorsey
Maybe Steve, but it's not really worth it. The commercials are short so going around them is more trouble than it's worth. Plus it's in the video stream they control using a player they control, so what I would do is make a player that checked if certain commercial signs were seen and if they weren't I would stop playing the video.
- Todd Hoff
@Jill, sometimes I forget I am watching live TV and then scream when I cannot skip the commercials and no amount of clicking the skip button will make the commercial go any faster dammit! ;)
- Travis Koger
when the dvr can automatically jump threw the commericals then that will be one hell of an invention
- VAL D.
In the UK there are advert indicators that pop up as a little swirly square pattern in the corner. Can't be too hard to interpret those.
- Rob Brammeld
Rob the player could too and if it didn't see them it would know something going on. Just adding checksums into each frame would be enough.
- Todd Hoff
This article is so biased it's unbelievable. Neilsen (who gets paid by the Networks) calculates whether or not a commercial is watched in 60 second increments. What this means is that if you catch the last two seconds of a commercial as you're going into your program, they count that as you watching two 30 second ads. If the headline was that 50% of consumers aren't hitting the sweet...
- Davis Freeberg
Interesting comment there Davis. That would make *far* more sense to me. Even if I'm watching live TV, I'll typically pause it, go do something else for a few minutes and come back only to have that buffer in place to skip commercials. I can't imagine 50% of people actually watch them. That number felt way too high.
- Thomas Hawk
It seems like if that's the case that the NY Times should have pointed that out. Sloppy journalism.
- Thomas Hawk
Sloppy indeed, they get an industry exec who sells advertising to say that ads are good and then don't even mention the problems with Neilsen's data. Two years ago, the NYTimes ran an almost identical story using the same data. http://www.nytimes.com/2007...
- Davis Freeberg
I have owned Tivos (series 1&2), a DirecTV HD DVR (currently), and I have build a few of my own (MythTV and BeyondTV). Aside from the difficulty of setting up a homebrew system, BeyondTV was AWESOME because it actually sensed when commercials were being recorded and allowed you to skip past ALL OF them with one button press. HEAVEN!!!
- Steve Dorsey
I always skip commercials. (My thumb is nearly self-programmed to hit the 30 second skip button about 4-8 times.) Before DVRs, I routinely muted sound during commercials. Passive viewing my butt.
- Andrew C
I Struggled to get out from under the duvet today.. Earlier than normal too as I had to drop @Gempops off at work so she can catch a lift and test drive fancy Audis in Milton Keynes all day :)
- Rob Brammeld
I am hoping she will take some photos, though she only has her phone and its camera is worse than my Iphones (if that is possible).
- Rob Brammeld
You can always Google the model but she can only share the driving experience and that's what matters in the end or am I wrong? So you'll be fine ;)
- Nia
My only regret is that its not me driving them :)

OMG. Amanda Y. Hicks! I was lucky enough to miss out on this while I was out of the country. I now want to tear my eyes out. If you were here, I would throw something at you!

This Wednesday needs way more coffee.
- Mary Carmen
Actually, I think this Wednesday needs more nibbles on my earlobes. Oh, did I say that out loud?
- josh neff, Fun Dip of FF
Yes well, I'm sure there are no shortage of volunteers should you ask. I have to *pay* for more coffee.
- Mary Carmen
MC, but you have boobs. I hear those are good for getting free things. Not that I would know personally. Nope.
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
I didnt want to mention it, but I did get free coffee at DD this morning. My favorite manager was working <3
- Mary Carmen
Double Ds equal free coffee? (Calls plastic surgeon)
- Chris Z.
Chris, Double Ds equal a lot of free stuff I think. Probably just boils down to how they're used. Wait, what are we talking about again? **looks around puzzled... How do I keep ending up in these conversations?**
- pea ♥ fierce as a woozle
Funny you should mention DD.......just found out through a recent bra fitting that I've been doing it wrong. Very wrong.
- Mary Carmen
Now I realize what I was waiting for this morning: a discussion about boobs! and offers of ear-nibbling!
- josh neff, Fun Dip of FF
Boobs solve many of life's discomforts.

Bitch, it's not like they're dolphins where once you seen one once you never want to see them again. Don't act like you don't know how I roll!

You're right, you're right. Silly of me to forget. I'll see what I can do for you later.

Awwww! First time? We went to Hershey, PA last year (the town where Hershey chocolate started and now has a giant theme park on par with Six Flags etc.) http://www.hersheypark.com/index... We stayed at the Hotel Hershey where they leave Hershey Bars on your pillows! According to them though, the Reese Peanut Butter cup is their best selling candy. Mmmmms so good!
- Kelly W.
I know I am just repeating what has been said but I can't help it WHA? FIRST TIME????? wow I'm really really jealous - I wish I would have waited. Maybe we should advocate including Reeses-Abstinence-Only teaching in public school nutritional programs
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Yes, first time, in small-town Australia there aren't that many places that import U.S. foods. The only problem I have is the consistency is real weird, I was expecting more gooey peanut butter.
- Bryce, Low in Sodium
yesssss, they are yummy tasty good. nom nom nom nom
- docrivs
nom nom nom! the best part is that peanut butter is on the Canada Food Guide. It may not have been what they intended, but I call it open for interpretation!
- Nathalie, Dreamer of FF
You have been missing out for way too long.
- Andrew Trinh
I gave one to my friend to try, she said they tasted like mustard :S

I was just thinking the same thing, Trish... I think I might die if I had to pay that much for a Reese's. Hey Bryce, they make 'em in mini cups, too.
- Trish Haley
Oh and ice cream with little bits of crushed reeses cups in 'em at Basken Robins. That's awesome and now I'm craving some...
- Wirehead
That and a pastrami sandwich, and you are Good. To. Go.

My laptop has never even been upstairs, much less in my bedroom. I cann count the number of time I've used by mobile on both hands, and then it's usually to play a game when I can't fall asleep.

Both me and the wife use our MacBooks in bed and recently got one for my 2.5 year old son. ^_^

Yep iPod Touch and laptop but trying hard to break this habit, it's really not the time or place for such activities :)

I do all the time... I'm not British though.

25% of a survey of 300 people in a city hardly constitutes a quarter of the nation, does it? Misleading headline and an obvious attempt at self promotion. Must be a quiet week in the online marketing biz.
- Gilbert Harding
I use my iphone and DS in bed all the time but very rarely my laptop
- Rob Brammeld
Aaaaaaaalways. Mainly because I'm a lazy student :)
- Charlotte M
No, that's where I read a book or listen to one.
- Ton Zijp
silly question. Anyone with a laptop or a mobile phone has used it in bed. What's more interesting is the frequency with which that happens. Some laptops are easier to take to bed than others.

My number one request for FriendFeed right now? Give me this same feature for *Flickr.* Would love to be able to find more of my Flickr contacts who are on FriendFeed. Even better, give me the same Yahoo mail / Gmail functionality to invite my flickr contacts to FF via the Flickrmail system.
I know that many of my Flickr contacts are on here that I'm not even aware of. Monitoring their photos and faves via FriendFeed is vastly superior to Flickr's own "most recent contact photos" page. I wish I could add more of them. Photos are my favorite thing on FF.
- Thomas Hawk
I know that the vast majority of my Flickr contacts are *not* on FF -- but really *should* be on FF. If FF could use the Flickr API to allow me to invite all of them via flickrmail to my FF (like Yahoo mail and Gmail) this would be huge in making FF even that much better for me. I so wish more of them were on here. There are so many amazing Flickr photographers that could add so much to FF.
- Thomas Hawk
Yes please, I am way more interested in seeing new images than seeing tweets show up in 2 places.
- Bill Pennington

Kinda shocked the CEO of Zooomr doesn't also suggest Zooomr
- dbcohen
There are a lot of possibilities. I would love to be able to filter people based on their feeds, and groups for example. Like searching for people who have imported their flickr stream into friendfeed and who is also a member of the 'Tech Bloggers' group. Basically I would love to see them improve the way we discover people on friendfeed. Simply being able to search by netwwork would be amazing. Like tell friendfeed to list all my contacts who are also on delicious!
- Kasper Sorensen
Zooomr would be great too. But Zooomr is a far smaller service. I have a list for all Zooomr content on FF and that is manageable just with a list right now. Flickr is not. Since Zooomr basically uses Flickr's API though I'd think that if it could be done for Flickr that there would be no reason why it couldn't also be done for Zooomr. Would love that too!
- Thomas Hawk
I'd just like the ability to create a Flickr account without needing a Yahoo account - it's incredibly frustrating if you create them regularly. Yahoo have a really cumbersome sign up process.
- Martin Bryant
I am a little fuzzy and it's not just the lack of sleep I have been dealing with. Heheh. I don't like it, though, so don't be surprised if this new look doesn't last very long.

"I had some food in my backpack that I had picked up at a small store a few hours before… a fresh baguette, a selection of cheeses, some fruit, and few truffles for dessert. I sat down at the edge of the fountain with my tripod up, aimed, and ready to go. I relaxed for a bit, listened to some Gotan Project on my iPod, and waited for the clouds to get just right."
