Noon: 30°F/-1°C ... sunny ... gusty north wind. Temperature fell to 12°F/-11°C overnight. Need to get more firewood split in preparation for the "wintry mix" forecast for Monday.
8:00 PM: 30°F/-1°C ... gusty north wind ... sky cleared after being overcast all day. Every time I look at our forecast, it changes. Snow is gone from Saturday night and Sunday, but Sunday night through Monday, Arctic air is forecast to combine with southern moisture and frozen stuff of one form or another is going to fall out of the sky.
Noon: 39°F/4°C ... overcast ... damp. Letting our wood stove burn down so I can clean out the ashes. Heading into our coldest temps of this winter. 10°F/-12°C Saturday night, says NOAA.
Noon: 46°F/8°C ... overcast. A few sprinkles of rain late morning. Forecast to continue during the afternoon. Snow flurries may enter the mix this evening. No accumulation expected.
Midnight: 55°F/13°C ... rain. On and off the computer a couple of times this evening as thunderstorm lines moved through. Another inch of rain during the evening, bringing our total for the day to 1.3".
Noon: 63°F/17°C ... mostly clear ... light south wind. One more day of sunshine, then NOAA says thunderstorms are on the way. With our unusually mild temperatures, spring-like weather is also arriving early.
Noon: 41°F/5°C ... raining ... 2.3" rain since midnight. I really wish we could save all the water that's running off downhill. It would come in handy when July and August arrive.
Midnight: 44°F/7°C ... rain. Rain started a little before midnight. It's supposed to last for a couple of days. As much as I hate to see sunshine come to an end, we need the rain.
Noon: 58°F/14°C ... mostly clear sky. Looks like it's going to be another beautiful afternoon. Our last for a few days, says NOAA. Think I will go haul home the rest of the firewood I cut yesterday.
