Right. Note to self: Replacing water entirely with cream in a fish soup recipe might seem like a tempting idea at first but, no. And certainly not in this heat.
It´s 26 degrees celsius (about 78.8 fahrenheit). Which probably don´t impress most of the world but I think it´s borderline crazy, especially with the very little wind we´re having the last few days. What´s it like in LA and other places ?
- Thomas Bøhm
I see. It might actually have been a couple of hours of 82F here, but I guess I have no right complaining:) To my defense I originally only meant to say that pure cream fish soup does not go well with 26 degrees celsius;) Probably even less where you live.
- Thomas Bøhm
LOL! Where I live there's soup weather (October through April) and there's NOT soup weather. Cream based or not: 95F is too hot for soup =)
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
35C!! I hope your water is cool or I would just head for the mountains. Experienced 100F in Greece once and almost cried myself to sleep during "siesta" with two extra fans pointing straight at me;) In Singapore there´s AC absolutely everywhere under roof so it was ok.

La-la-lah, I´m now copying US itunes store gift codes from ebay emails on my iPhone and pasting into the redeem box in the iTunes Store app, la-la-la-LAAAAAAH!
Didn´t *have* to do that on my iPhone of course but now I could :)

Right. Cleaned the house and put away our life once again this week for another showing of the apartment. At least somebody came; an older woman and a Swedish(!) family. Btw my Macbook Pro was armed with iAlertU during this time.
Swedes that find the Norwegian St. Hansfest better than Midtsommerfest :)
- Baard Overgaard Hansen
Baard: Of course Midsummer is better here. Swedes are just dancing silly around a pole, while we Norwegians get drunk off our ass and roam around in boats with a fresh tree taken aboard. And then we burn big ass gasoline infused bonfires all along the coastline in the dark. I mean there´s no competition ;)
- Thomas Bøhm
Well, Swedes also get drunk, but they usually fall asleep, because they are not used to hard liquor like beer :D

Cool Danish cooking show on tv right now: "Bowls of Steel" :)
Having severely overestimated the need for hotdogs (and cakes and ice cream) for my daughter´s 1st birthday (actually today but) party on sunday, my wife and I are eating hotdogs every day this week. Which is fine by me although my wife the doctor is concerned about the healthiness. Still it feels to good to be true to me:)
Thanks. She says "bblbblBBL!" back (which strangely actually is baby language for "Let me clubber the macbook keyboard too").
- Thomas Bøhm
Just don't get gout. :) Happy b-day little one! And congrats to the parents for surviving the first year!
- Derrick
Thanks! Had to ask my wife about "goat". It´s called "gikt" here apparently, and I now got a little lecture again about the unhealthiness of hotdogs thankyouverymuch! ;) I´ll mix it with some salads from now on (as I´m a bit of a hypochondriac..) :)
- Thomas Bøhm
You can't afford to be wasteful these days. :)
- Great Scott!
Todd: it took 4 years of marriage though. Can't believe I haven't thought of this before. *evil genius laughter with a bit of hypochondriac anxiety on the side*

how do you like it? big differences overall?
- Cee Bee
Nah, really just new dock/stack functionality, faster finder (which sort of zooms out) and new quicktime. General performance is much better though.
- Thomas Bøhm
Really stable though. Could well use it as my main os now unless it conflicts with an important app in the future (none yet). Seems to be a 32-bit mode for the system prefs window at least.

"It’s a very interesting proposition. With this move, Opera does not try to enhance the web; they’re actually circumventing the web as we know it now. They’re saying: if you start using Opera Unite to share your stuff online, you won’t have to rely on third-party services ever again (except, of course, Opera itself); you’ll be in control of everything you own online."

Insane, right ?! You really have to see the big version of the photo to understand.
- Thomas Bøhm
It was our honeymoon and my wife tried to stop me but I just had to take a photo of it:)

Arrest and deport him immediately! How did he get through customs with that mop?
- Dean Kakridas
Whoa. And wow...that street scene looks like it could have been taken inside the shopping areas of almost any major casino in Las Vegas.
- Anika Malone
Anika: Prague is one of the best kept cities in Europe when it comes to having most of the old buildings still standing and in good shape. I was told only one building was hit with a bomb during WW2. We also had great weather and a fantastic view of the longest river in the Czech Republic, Moldau/Vltava, and surroundings, from the castle height. And a nice selection of mullets because of german tourists I suspect;)
- Thomas Bøhm
I still need to visit there. I would like to. Most of my friends have been there and their photos are wonderful.
- Anika Malone
Anika: I love that country, also the rolling green hills of the village side sprinkled with castles and breweries. Perhaps partly because it´s my departed grandfather´s country I guess.

I wonder how she avoids to cut his hair by night while he´s asleep (I condsider that not a crime in this special case)
- ★ Esther Rudolph
Looks like she misses in the dark and keeps cutting it on top. Must be frustrating:)

Was this terribly bad taste of me ? http://friendfeed.com/tsudohn... I often (unsuccessfully) try to spice up even serious issues with humour. I thought it was a great post but I may however be less sensible to certain issues than others..
I don't see anything wrong with it. Are you referring to the ever-tan George Hamilton? Is he still alive?
- Derrick
Yes, I was refering to the alligator skinned solarium red actor who I´ve never seen as a very complex character in any movie. If he´s dead as well I feel even worse.. actually anyway. I´m sure he´s a good guy who shouldn´t be put up against the likes of great men like Martin Luther King.
- Thomas Bøhm
I'm confused what George Hamilton has to do with MLK.
- Rochelle
I understand, Rochelle. I just made a bad joke about Hamilton referencing MLK´s quote (behind the link) because of Hamilton´s ever-tan and bad roles which makes it look like he thought it was the colour of his skin and not the content of his character that mattered, when it´s really the other way around (like MLK said). This should probably just die away though. Sorry.
- Thomas Bøhm
He thought maybe the weather was too nice today.
- Thomas Bøhm
Maybe they got drunk and went club hopping to 'What is Love?"
- Derrick
Considering it was scheduled at 11am on a saturday and the weather was very nice, the drunk part is probably true but instead of club hopping they probably sat outside cafees working on a nice drunken lobster coloured tan while wearing scarfs against the wind all day like only Norwegians can.
- Thomas Bøhm
This song immediately makes me want to get drunk and go club hopping: What is love? by Haddaway. God I´m old and sad. - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
That's a very intense look you have there, Thomas!
- WorldofHiglet
I was aiming for that Australian Outback Hunk Effect. And following the countdown in Photobooth on my mac. Incidentally low eyebrows during 1,2,3 is a bad sign.
- Thomas Bøhm
Nice, but not as nice as your current avatar pic. ;)
