Small footprint, but does almost everything other clients do. Really, I'm getting sick of twitter clients that take up more memory than a full computing session in Mathematica.

"Eureqa" Cornell Computational Synthesis Laboratory: This is a computer program designed to come up with simplest mathematical relationships from collections of data. Basically a version of artificial scientist conceived by Juergen Schumidhuber. - http://ccsl.mae.cornell.edu/eureqa
"Eureqa is a software tool for detecting equations and hidden mathematical relationships in your data. Its primary goal is to identify the simplest mathematical formulas which could describe the underlying mechanisms that produced the data."

Propeller multicore chip based minicomputer. Has a built in high level language called spin. It comes barebones, but the general vibe of the device harkens back to the days of Altair. I'd love to get my hands on one of these.

"Almost every biological, economic, and social systems is a complex adaptive system. Mathematical and computer models are relevant to CAS. Some approaches to modeling CAS are given. Applications in vaccination and the immune system are studied. Mathematical topics motivated by CAS are discussed.

How to smalltalk. (Not programming language. The social interaction). I've long thought that asking people 'what they do' when making smalltalk was a socially acceptable equivalent of stating I'm an a-hole, and the author agrees.

Update on the state of medical science using evolutionary biology. The topic seem to be the zeitgeist among many members of the medical community these days.

Home of the Illuminato X Machina parallel processing boards. It's parallel and it's opensource. Parallel programming... Haskell/Smalltalk/Go?

Wired article about Illuminato X Machina, diy parallel processing system. This is definitely something I want to play around with. Neuron simulations anyone?

Edge interview/article with Jaron Lanier. Talks about the fallacy of the computer sciences, and makes quite a few interesting observations on the state of general computing, computer science, and computer development right now.
