Statement from Tiger Woods: "This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way." — amen to that! Next topic... - http://web.tigerwoods.com/news...
I don't see how anyone can vote for McCoy after watching the A&M quarterback. That kid is gooooood.
- RAPatton
...yeah, that was an amazing performance by Jarrod Johson, but Colt threw for 3tds, 300 yards, ran for about 175, and another td...and is the winningest quarterback in Div1 history...realistically, it will probabl McCoy or Tebow, I think, unless Ingram explodes in the SEC Championship game. Stanford's not on national tv enough for all the voters to see Gerhart, but he should get the trip to NYC and experience that whole thing, great for him, great recruiting bonus for the school.

college football shootout in palo alto: stanford 38, notre dame 38 - about 9 mins. left. gerhart's heisman stats: 150yd, 2td, 1td pass #cfb
Will probably have more than one undefeated team this year.

...i think it's going to be big mess now, although ok-state losing today means that boise state and tcu both might get into a bcs bowl, which would be fair...

"We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club."

No way. I'm not a hater and Tiger - while confident - has never been an asshole IMO. If this happened to TO, I'd laugh. Not with Tiger at all

I had that posted before your reply LANjackal, I didn't mean to imply anything about you.
- Todd Hoff
Supposedly he is seeing a party planner; the TMZ story makes more sense than the car crash, but I don't know if I buy it

This is gonna have to be confirmed from a more reputable sources than TMZ and the National Enquirer before I believe it. I know the squeaky clean public persona rarely matches up with the real person (ala Michael Jordan) but this version of the story doesn't sit right with me. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle.

Can we get a celebrity or athlete who doesn't fuk-up their own world? Are there no heroes we can look up to and be proud of? I understand this is all rumor regarding Tiger, but the question is still valid. :(

Could someone please put some makeup on his wife? Please!
- Give 'Em DBizness
Todd: I know you weren't referring to me. I'm just saying I'm not about to tear Tiger apart for this. He's been a real class act so far. Infidelity happens ... his wife demeaned herself by freaking out the way she did. If she's really mad at him she needs to take a page out of SC governor Mark Sanford's wife's book.

Give 'Em: TBH this version of the story sounds a lot more believable than the original report of his wife "hearing" the accident and coming to his rescue with the golf clubs. I saw that at the bar last night and was like "Hmmm unlikely"

The sad thing is, if true, he may need to divorce her because the physical abuse would only get worse if he excuses this kind of violence. Then again, it might just have been a car wreck

My question is why did she have to call 911? Where's OnStar (in the 2009 Caddy mentioned in all the news stories) when you need it?
- Give 'Em DBizness
I'm not sure I'd fault my wife for losing it on me if I cheated on her. I'm a calm person who never resorts to physical stuff, but from my observation I'm the exception.

Yeah my wife laughed and said she'd likely have a similar reaction. *Note to self: never cheat on wife* ;-)

LAN, I just don't want another Steve McNair or Phil Hartman.

Me neither, buddy. I'm with you on that one

I bet this isn't her first episode though ... they'd been dating for a while, her potential for seriously flipping out had to have been obvious at some point.

Give 'Em: I saw a similar report; there may be something to the cheating side of this story. And like, RAP, I don't want to see another McNair or Hartman.
- JA Castillo
Give 'Em: Anyone else notice the distance between them in that pic? She looks like a common bystander, not his wife. My mom once told me that pulling a public cold shoulder stunt like that is a sure way to get your man to look elsewhere
- LANjackal
What concerns me (if this somewhat true) they are spinning it in a way to excuse her; that is ok for public consumption, but behind closed doors that violence can't be excused or it will get worse. They need to agree to resolve all future issues without such acts or someone might regret their actions

Well, should we try to secure a safehouse for Tiger? Whaddaya say, gang? Maybe my dad's basement?

Hadn't noticed that LAN. Body language says a lot. Parents standing apart with the child in between them. Hmmm... That guy from Lie To Me would have a field day with that.

I'm of the mind that all we'll ever be left with is rumor and innuendo here. There's a police report that has to be filed due to the accident and property damage, but other than what that reveals, I believe his handlers will seal everything up so tightly that you could make diamonds. There's too much at stake, in terms of the PGA tournaments, television, and endorsements and...
