Turns out I can use preg_match() with the $matches array. Good to know. preg_filter() is a much cleaner and intuitive form of the function.

@snookca Figured it out. Apparently, an animation triggered using the keyboard combo which includes Shift makes it slo-mo. Try Cmd-Ctrl-M.
